What a trip down memory it is playing here. It feels just like the game I abandoned 15 years ago or so. It feels nice to play it again.

I played EQ on Torvonnilous on and off between 1999 and 2003. My most active period was in the Velious phase. I played some in Luclin and PoP, but the Velious era was for me the most fun time.

My main characters were Begil (druid) and Gneto (rogue), if anyone else from that time is here. I was first in the guild Blood of the Phoenix and then in a Euro guild, Nexxus of Faith [sic!].

Anyway, I am not sure how much I will be playing, but I started a halfling druid to do some exploring in this great game again. See you around!

My usual advice for people starting up is to hit the wiki! It has an amazing ton of useful info!

It is also good to be nice to others here, community is marvelous and has helped me a ton too when I started a couple weeks ago!

Hey Begil/Gneto, I remember you! I played a bard Hoarse at the same time. I'm now Hoars without the e unfortunately. There's a few of us old schoolers still hanging around. Mostly I think it's just me and Zecky who is now Rokzor/Rhaszar/<insert a million other alts>. But some others have come and gone or come back from time to time. I know you already decided, but man, necro is super fun and easy. Good for blowing off steam. Getting from 1-4 was a chore, but at 4 I was taking on all the white kobold camps in Ak'Anon solo. Pretty crazy. Super different than playing wiz, lol.

Grinding orcs for Freeport faction is actually one of my most fun Live memories, for some reason. I don't think it was as common back then, so people were always surprised to see a troll there.

Looking forward to doing it on my nec, but it probably won't be as fun as I remember :D.
