First of all, this is not simply a "my aggro is too high" complaint. Here are my experiences since the patch, based on soloing the NK guards and comparing my aggro to my pet, and some grouping I did last night. I'm going to break it down by spell type I guess:

Poison DoTs: These aren't doing enough aggro compared to on live. When I was soloing guards in NK, if I let my pet get it to 90% first, it would hold aggro over Venom of the Snake. Poison DoTs would usually leave me tanking something for most of the fight on live.

Disease DoTs: Scourge seems to be about the same, if I land it at 90% I will never get aggro, though it does less DPS than my poison DoT. My point is more the initial aggro related to counters doesn't seem to be there.

Tagar's: I'm not using Togor's because it seems pretty bugged right now (It doesn't seem to slow at all, and Tagar's and Walking Sleep overwrite it), but the aggro on this spell is too high compared to what I remember. It should be a bit higher than Tash, but a bit lower than a poison DoT. Right now Poison DoTs are relatively low aggro compared to my live experiences, but landing (or resisting) a Tagar's and doing absolutely nothing else requires my pet to do about 5-600 damage before he will have aggro again.

Malisement: On live this spell was fairly low in aggro, and I would often malo in groups when an enemy was incoming before the tank had engaged it, and the tank would get aggro back simply by hitting the monster. I was grouped at Bats in Sol B last night and this spell was generating more threat than Tash from the enchanter in the group, which shouldn't be the case since Tash adds a poison counter and has always been medium-high aggro.

Haven't had a chance to test cripple... err, the disempower line yet, it should be somewhere between the initial hit of a disease DoT and slow aggro wise though.

Can any other shamans who played on live share their experiences/Feedback?

Several posts were made about this same topic many months ago, especially when it comes to the whole malise spell line. People didn't seem to care enough.

Expect to see more complaints when having malo on a raid boss becomes mandatory and shamans go splat faster than an enchanter casting tash.

I've played 3 different shaman mains over many years in different top raid guilds. I can definitely confirm that malo was super low aggro and would pull with it all the time.

Disempower was the go-to spell to chain cast if you needed to tank.

Landing a slow wasn't really much aggro, but slow resists were a different story, which is why leading with malo would save your ass.

But, spell aggro has been the #1 thing that has felt (way) off since p99's inception.

Man, the malo line being such high aggro is really obnoxious, and makes it pretty much unusable in exp groups. I cast it on Freeti when he was at 80% HP, and he turned and ice cometed me. I realize you guys have a laundry list of stuff to fix, but if you could add it to your list I'm sure every shaman would be very thankful.

Well efreeti should 100% resist any shaman malo spell in the game right now, and that's a bunch more aggro than landing it. If you cast a non-unresistable magic spell on freeti then you kinda deserve an ice comet or two.

That's the problem though, the spell is supposed to be almost no aggro, even on resists.

Also I never bothered to do the camp on live, so I didn't know he was 100% MR, haha.
