Which server had the highest players activity? I plan on a necromancer unsure if dark elf is too restrictive. I had a plane of time raid guild in past.
What are some thoughts /suggestion you all have on necromacer in the current state of the game.
Which guild on said server helpful casual players
Thanks

Blue(PVE) is very active, any class you pick should be just fine :)

The red server is pvp and has a low population. Necro is a solid choice. There are a ton of guilds, I would recommend just making a choice based on people you meet and group with in game.

Blue pop is 650 to 1500
Red pop is 30 to 135
(depending on day of the week and hour of the day. busiest times are American evenings (mostly EST) and week-ends, but not only)
All classes are over represented at any levels.
On blue most played are: Druid, Necro, Monk
Least played are: Paladin, Wizard
But no class is either omnipresent nor completely absent.
At this point in time in Blue, any race is equally playable. Iksars are still today "super evil" and you will need to work around it a bit, but as for the classic evil trio (troll, ogre and dark elf) they have countless options to thrive everywhere and you shouldn't limit yourself to not playing a race because it is "restrictive" apart for maybe Iksars, and even then.
The only levelling guild on red is <Sanctuary>
On Blue many guilds are active across all levels, you should probably start unguilded, join PUGs and when you find someone you like ask about their guildtag and if they are recruiting :) do a /who all "guild a few times to check if the number of players, level and class repartition of that guild seems to correspond with what you're looking for.
Necro advice: server is old and Low Tier items are getting very cheap! Get yourself some HP (the 5ac55hp rings for exemple) and some basic INT gear. Look for the 50-250pp per slot options, they are great. Then you should probably save all your pesos to buy a pre-nerf Circlet of Shadows. Of course buy all your spells (they get expensive fast) and look for the research ones (no need to work on Research yourself if you don't want to; many high level Necro can do the combines for you if that's not your thing). Lastly don't be afraid to group a lot; Necros might be "Kings of Solo" up there with Enchanters and Shamans, but they are also very fun and useful in groups and it's a nice skill to practice (they can heal, CC, dps, FD pull, undead shenanigans, etc). The class in group is also not that busy so you can chat and socialize if that's your kind of thing.
Good luck and enjoy the server! :)
Welcome to the madness ;)

Hi Friend!
Like you im relatively new here!
From what I can tell there are always good groups to be found if you up to it and community is overall very very friendly.
Chat up with everybody you meet, people will help, mostly with buffs, which is a real boon during low levels!
I sincerely hope your stay here is super duper awesome and yes, necro is a very good choice!
Supposedly if you really into min maxing, iksar necro is the most efficient choice, even with the xp penalty, but if you just want to have fun, all races are good.
As a newbie myself I found out the best money making strategy is usually to do repeatable quests. Since I started dirt poor I found a small stopgap around level 9, where spells jump from some gold to several plat, so bear this in mind and do repeatable quests that give solid rewards.
For me in Qeynos it was gnoll fangs, but if I had know about it earlier I would have done crate quests at super low levels for some quick leveling. Bandit sashes in the karanas and diseased pelts help a ton too especially with money, as bandits drop good loot and rewards for sashes give bronze weapons!.
If you start on whatever continent you choose, be sure to check the local wiki for quests in your area, some of the can really really help rough out the super low levels where you are super poor.
If you are around qeynos or see me anywhere in game send me a tell and I will gladly sow you haha, only buff I can reliably give:D
Take your time and enjoy the game, so far my experience here has been amazing and though I know some drama is expected at end tier, I think you will truly enjoy your stay here man, this server is a BLAST OF ULTRA FUN! ;)
Oh and an extra tip! when you have some plat on you, check the vendors! Some players trash on vendors some pretty solid lowbie armor pieces and weapons which are very affordable and are much better than rawhide pieces!
Dont be a stranger to the forums either, some very unique personalities here too as I am discovering haha.
Many hugs to you wherever you are, if you see me ingame, dont be a stranger and say hi!
Cheers!
