While leveling up I am slowly acquiring gear for my ranger who is currently level 25. Currently he's equipped with a Woodsman Staff, SCHW (22% haste gloves), 6AC/65hp rings, and a banded armor set.
What items should I start looking for next? Should I focus primarily on AC or STR/STA/DEX?
I can't afford a Fungi Tunic at this time but, Tigerraptor armor looks like a good starting point or is it just better to grab gear like Ry`Gorr armor?

Dont waste money on Tiger raptor junk. It looks good but its all over priced.

Look into some silver chitin pieces and a Phase spider carapace to start.

If you already have a weapon.. and a haste item.. your best possible purchase is silver chitin wrist bands. 15 AC 7 str 7 dex +40 HP EACH wristband. Thats prob the most u can get out of 5k in any slot.

AC and HP is king early on, since you'll probably do a fair amount of tanking pre 50. STR, STA and DEX will all come on those items in plentiful amounts from Velious gear until you need to specialize with ranger gear post 50.

I found banded -> Ivy Etched -> Crystal Chitin -> Skyshrine quest a good self found path.
Ivy etched and crystal chitin are both decent AC with +str.
I always figure don't overspend on gear. Save that plat for rez; you're a ranger!

hahh.. ranger jokes... hilarious!! Anyways... Starting points, best place is stamina, 100% .. Str/dex im WAAY over capped with raid buffs at 60 and my gear consists of fashionquest gear. That being said -> just put it into stamina :)

You didn't read his post. He needs gear options.
If you're taking a lot of solo tank damage, focus ac hp like a tank. If you're trying to solo, balance it all the best you can. I did solo 90% of the way on ranger and what hurt the most was when slow epic refused to proc or big damage spikes. What I ended up doing was rooting, back up, healing and going in again. Fungi tunic is fantastic for down time and healing residual damage when someone else is tanking.
You are a social butterfly? Group to 60 it's a lot less work. AC / hp then STR. When you begin raids you can work on things like resists and secondary stats that is on all the gear at that level.
