For a Rogue that isn't super twinked (example, most expensive items on my toon are 2k at max), and considering that I'm not going to be soloing as a result, is it still useful to have 2 55/5 rings, or should I use those 5 STR/DEX rings?

I'm level 35 with 219 STR with the 55/5s. Would 10 more Strength make much of a difference at my level? Between Druid and Shaman buffs at or near mine, I hit anywhere from 230-245. I'm weighing the STR compared to being able to take a hit or two should I pull aggro / Evade fails for whatever reason.

Also, there's no benefit to STR beyond cap, correct?

Thanks!

100 hp can make or break a death if you get too many mobs. The extra dps from 10 str wont really save you in a close fight.

If you're grouping all the time, go with strength. As long as you're properly evading and your tank can hold aggro, you'll never take damage anyway and the hp won't help you as much as str.

Just get hp imo.

It will save your ass a few times, 10str is barely noticable.

I think you answered your own question.
Another 5-10 levels and your groupmates will be able to buff you to 255. You already hit for max damage most of the time... in a good group mobs drop in 10 seconds aren't they? In a bad group you just hide&sneak and leave don't you? ;) I'm pretty sure that more HP and AC is more beneficial to you more often than hitting for max damage 0.5% more often.

Those hp rings are probably the best value item in the game.
Also try to pick up a cheap +5 or +6 stat neck from Western Wastes. Theyre not expensive anymore. At lev 35 you can get there as a rogue just get skyshrine key or clicked through - make sure youre sowed as youre going to be doing a lot of sneaking if you do go:)

How much for those necks you think? 400, 500pp?

Rogues have great defensive skills. Wear tanky gear when xping to min damage on pulled aggro. Also, it helps to be viable as tank when the warrior needs 10 mins off.

It's incredibly hard to evade aggro pre-50, that HP will definitely save your life and that extra str will be useless when your groupmates level into some new buffs.

You can evade all you want but with the failure rate and lack of aggro generation in your bracket, you it doesn't help much.

Also, rogue epic is such a massive dps spike, if you are headed towards being able to save for one, I would shun all other upgrades until you get it.

Honestly, evasion is not a problem at all at any level, even with the epic. Just give the tank a couple of rounds of melee to build aggro. The reason most rogues pull aggro is they jump in the fight too soon. I still say go with STR until you cap it, then worry about HP. When you learn to properly rogue you never get hit.

I meant that ducking combat fails 90% of the time before ~150 hide skill
