View Full Version : Spells: Casting gate with a tl box up should send you to safe spot
Im 100% sure this is classic but can't find proof. Gate with a TL box up would send you to safe spot without zoning.
Anyone else remember this or able to find evidence?

That sounds like a very broken thing. Which prolly got fixed when they broke double winds and double lower succors.

I would say requests for research should be done in Server Chat and not in Bug forums (which already have a lot of reports).
That being said I did not find any evidence of a TL causing you to succor when gating. Not saying it wasn't a thing, I'll continue to run some searches.
All I found close to this was a way for Druids to Succor by not having their Velious tooth on them:
Druid Translocate!! (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/alt.games.everquest/succor$20exploit%7Csort:date/alt.games.everquest/4ia6TCY2E_A/0_kCNJfXHUIJ)
Basically, a druid can either destroy their tooth or bank it. If they port someone to Velious, the druid winds up in the safe zone of the zone their in while everyone else ports. Only caveat is they can't even sit or camp or cast, all they can do is either /q or run to a zone line to reset things.
I know this worked for a time with holding teeth on your cursor to succor, but I believe it was patched out on P99.

Yeah they patched this a while ago. We coined it as Ghetto Succor. It worked in any zone. Was very useful for dappers in 2016-17 when they patched it they broke double winds and double lower succors ( east ro bb). Not a total nuasience but definitely hurt our mobility.
