FUN LAST NIGHT RECAP

With the top guild recently declaring war on the leveling guild a new alliance was formed last night. Ronin/Sanctuary, who I will refer to as "Allied Forces" from here on out, decided to form up to kill some mobs and have fun last night! RECAP as follows:

The night started with a little bit of PvP in OT/Skyfire since Apex was heading over to kill Phar Dar in VP. The Ronin force was quickly out-gunned since it was a Monday and Apex had all of their members online.

Sanctuary formed up and headed over to kael to start clearing in preparation of killing Vindi and Ronin massed up and went to join them. While Apex killed PD the Allied Forces killed Vindi. After Apex was done with PD they were heading over to Kael to PVP so the Allied Forces prepared and moved over to the EW/Kael zoneline.

There was a stand-off for about 30 minutes while the Allied Forces sent in hit squads to drop a few people here and there (sorry about the snare Speeddsz).

After a bit Apex decided to head over to Dain to squeeze in that mob before the Allied Forces could kill The Statue of Rallos Zek, but while Apex did Dain they were able to kill statue(even with Apex bringing in people to try and stop it). After statue was down there was PVP that broke out immediately.

Mass PVP started heating up and it was roughly a 50v50 fight that went on for about an hour and a half non stop. There were massive amounts of YTs on both sides and after about an hour it became a war of attrition with people being rez'd back in mid fight and both sides bouncing back and forth to try and get a hold on the zone.

After the massive fight there was a brief lull where both sides were trying to get buffed up and be ready for another go just on the other side of the zone from each other. The Allied Forces realized that Apex was getting reset a little quicker and would eventually force them out so they decided to call the fight there and not commit to another go. Overall the YT count was approximately Apex 31yts(some of them naked kills at bind) and the Allied Forces 24yts (+ or - if I missed some).

After all the fighting calmed down Apex tried to go for a KT kill so a smaller force loaded back in and wiped them on the mob.

All in all it was a fun filled night and the 25-30 Sanctuary bros that have never mass PVP'd before(and some not even level 60) had a blast and showed that they are a force to be reckoned with as well.

Lol this "friend" gave the info to multiple people and had nothing to do with me (can be confirmed from a petition). Also I have never had hekktor info and have never even played with that guy.

The fight was the most fun since the ragnarok vs apex in cobalt scar imo

Night led off with ronin attempting to establish control of OT/skyfire. Couple off apex hammered in not knowing the situation and got promptly dunked. Ronin held control of the zone/skyfire for a bit with brief skirmishes and then were overrun and retreated to various zones (karanas?) after they knew it was over for them thus conceding VP to apex (which consisted of more than just PD last night).

While apex is clearing VP, Rontuary begins clearing in kael. They attempt vindi once and have to zone out and then are able to kill him the second time unmolested. Apex then starts coming to kael. A few overextend and kill a few Rontuary and get killed themselves. A bunch of rontuary appear to camp out, so apex goes to kill dain. Several brave members of rontuary (floppyd, dagon, etc.) try to come and stop the dain kill but get YT'd while dain dies in what i'd call one of the sloppiest dain kils i'd ever seen (self inflicted shit show).

Apex then heads back to kael while rontuary is engaged with statue. By time members get to raid, or were evac'd to other side, statue was at 3%/dead. PvP ensues with a ton of rontuary getting picked off at ZL. Rontuary then mass zones out and establishes themselves on the EW/Kael zl with their casters gating or running up top to the invis wall when apex zones out and mass casualties occur on both sides. Most #s we had recorded at any point of last night (for RA purposes which are recorded on our DKP site is 39) while Rontuary easily had 50+ as we were arriving and yes some of those were undergeared non 60s. What wasn't factored in was apex arriving just after dain so healers are oom. After the initial skirmish at ew/kael zl the call is made for apex to charge out, get height, and get to the invis wall on the casters that have been free casting/healing/rezzing (quite good job of assist pelling/coordinating nukes btw) and once that happens and they are forced from that spot the fight quickly turned.

Rontuary is promptly plugged out/YT'd without having the invis wall advantage to the point that apex feels like we should pull KT and see what happens. ISP went to shit running there and can't comment on what happened there, but again was told it was more self inflicted on the wipe then anything else.

You could also look at this as, Apex killed Kunark mobs while the less geared side killed Velious mobs. The main guild left kael instead of PVPing because they were worried about non 60's. Then the less geared side killed a Velious target with PvP on them and then was able to fight for over an hour against full NTOV geared chars and then wiped the NTOV geared guild while they tried to kill KT... See what I did there? It's called being bias, which my post was not.

you killed statue from 100% to less than 3% before anyone was on you. hardly a win. We killed a more difficult mob with pvp on us in an easier to grief location.

you didn't "wipe" anyone when you can just zone out...you were wiped/mass plugged however and weren't able to award loot (gratz papercuts on both items) because you lost the PvP with a location advantage and more numbers, plus out of range assistance in EW.

This is true honestly. Making best use of our 50s and bad class makeup using the wall was a good call. We made an impatient call to attack your KD side while you made a good call to rush the wall so we ended up ceding EW and all the corpses. Interesting fight as far as weird EQ mechanics go.

Re: the bolded section if you think rattling of some names proves who you are than in your case it isnt working. You were so bad at EverQuest when you started on red99 it was as if you were a newish player (supprise?). Proof is the fact that you would just stand there and die to PvP instead of fighting it like any ex SZer would instinctively done.

Speeddsz was my first toon here, and as everyone knows I was going against people with Kunark gear vs my Lambent. Go figure a bard with 50mr that fights in mass pvp would die a lot...

I still play the same bard these days, but my gear is now on par with everyone else (I haven't gotten an upgrade since Empire on him, except Boots). Yet... who can remember the last time he died pvp?

The proof that was provided to Ragnaros and others were screenshots of him on the characters during Planes of Power expac possibly even after the 2005 sale date.

I fail to see how that verifies him as the real Speeddsz. He also had access to the real Speedd's forum account on various Sullon Zek guild websites where Speedd had kill screenshots posted.

His goal from the word go in 2005 was to buy the accounts and realize this sick Speedd LARP. To be a major somebody. He collected the screenshots from 2002-2003 so he could "verify" himself. Smart. Once you get out log off all your toons, write your pwds and usernames in a nice little keepsake diary, and put it in your safe.

Than go for another gentle walk and think about where your going to take your vacation from eq.

If you catch burn out early, you'll be able to take short frequent vacations, and you'll be able to keep up with the changes in guild names and able to support your eq habit better.

First let me apologize to Metroid for having his thread derailed. Metroid it was an awesome fight, and you're still one of my favorite peeps on the box!

Next is my warning that this post might be long.

Taking 40+ straight deaths leveling 1-60 in an almost pvpless 1-55 bracket then turning around and PL boxing alts in CoM is not what real speeds would have done..
It's cute how you keep saying what I was about, like you know me... yet you know so little that you didn't even get my name right. Also, I took very little deaths leveling up, majority of them were at 56-60 when again I had no gear, but had no problem fighting anyways. Now that I am on an even playing field I still fight mass pvp yet never die (even without TL boxes). Funny how that works huh?

Real speeds was all about that grief and pvp. All you've manage to achieve on this server is jump from one pixel farm guild to the next and gear up alts. This coupled with the fact you're a bad EQ, and was even worse when you started means you're not the real Speeds..
You mention that I hated alts which wasn't true, I had the best geared alts on the server. My level 1 warrior had better gear than the best Good and Newt tanks. 1/2 the gear I got on him, I got from extorting other enemy guilds.. ie you don't get to kill Cursed or Seru unless I get "X" item off it.

You are right thou about the pvp and grief thou. That's what I lived for! I wish I would have been around on this server when it was new and had population I bet it was a lot of fun. The only time I've gotten to grief here is when Ragnarok came to the server and I got to help lead our Wizteam6 on them. That was good times! Not sure it's a good idea, BUT.. it might make for good drama so here goes.

Most people were max level so that didn't really matter much. Gear and having the rare nukes certainly did, with Manaburn and Nexus gate made it easy mode for sure. Was already good pre-mq but after being constantly tracked down by the newt wizards like Grunter & Immorality I decided to even the playing field and got it myself.

And again on the bard with Gear/Selos/DA/Fading memories made it a lot easlier. if I ever got killed I could rezbox/cr and if I REALLY got into trouble then I could call in as many re-enforcements as needed. Thou the "ghosting" was actually an issue with my meh comp and bad ISP. I'd load into a zone, wouldn't see anyone take off running and then I'd see people start to pop into my view.

But, the main thing that made the most difference is being able to have playtime of 18hrs a day 7days a week coupled with the hunger to constantly grief. I literally had no life outside of EQ...

Now, regrets? Sure.. wasted so much time then, and continue to waste more now. I'm an admitted addict, but guessing anyone on these boards can probably say the same. I do feel bad for a lot of the other people who's time I wasted. I was so busy trying to "win" that I didn't take into consideration the people's feelings on the other side of the screen.

It's the real Speedd, folks. There were people in <Hate> who were in touch with him IRL, and the guy playing the character in question here is definitely the same guy who was playing Speedd/Kirban from the very start of those characters on SZ.
