Fastest probably Bard.
Naked award probably Necromancer and Magician.
Laziest probably Wizard, Rogue or Cleric.
All three together my vote maybe goes to Wizard.
Both soloing and grouping is VERY straightforward, your spellnook is only like 3 page long + teleports. It is easy and lazy enough. As for speed i am not sure where wizard stands vs Bard or other soloer, but I am sure it is not that far away.

Thanks, I'm still leaning towards necrophilia. Probably not going to be my main, so want to be able to farm and dungeon delve a little.
I know all about enchanters, but feel like they need a lot more gear and work than a necrophile.

Enchanter needs minimal gear. Buy lazy gameplay on s enchanter will kill you

Necro will be laziest/easiest, since there's so many more options for exp. 1-50 and probably 50-60 can be done naked. Necros are basically a one man group.

Yep. And Necros, if not powerleveling, can probably be played pretty lazilly too without having to be at 100% efficiency all the time. IMO, just loading up dots, and letting pets eat exp.
Shamans are probably a nice class overall too, I wouldn't discount them, but meh... IDK! Necro seems like the one I'm going to go with.
Thx all.

That's true. It's a good alternate. Wizards level really ez with gear and quad.
Necro is level 2 now!

Wizard is good, however if you're limited game time and want to pop in and out, solo isnt fantastic before AoE snare. Necro can FD and stay in game and magician pet components are plentiful

This is one thing I love about druid when I don't feel like babysitting a murder-charm on my Enchanter. Can make good progress for a couple minutes of playing and 6+ min of relaxing afk to watch a show or do laundry or whatever you want.
I am sure the same mostly applies to wizard the problem with wizard is they are much more constrained in choices at higher level, not being able to split up camps or spawns without root or snare and zoning, where as druid can harmony and solo pull anything add 3 more and you got a quad + has 2 other options root rot, and charm.
It gets worse when u consider itemization. Druids epic is a free dmg clicky + easy to get free dot on wrist slot, as well as their velious bp click being amazing 600mana group regrowth spell, lastly they have potg and mask of the hunter for more Mana Regen.
Wizard epic is good for surviving some hits and 3mana Regen but that's about it. Their velious clicks are terrible and unless you are one of the few lucky wizzies on the server to get a rend robe (takes alot of work and VP key) or a conflag robe (again raiding off velkator) they have no good sources of Mana free dmg
When it comes to solo I feel druid is way way stronger with more options than wizard, the benefit of wizard is you can actually land nukes on raid bosses (lure spells) and when killing lower lvl stuff lazily you can 1shot it with sunstrike or much more Mana efficient pbae spells for low lvl blasting

The server needs more wizards who don't use their best ability (bind sight) and eye's to pull for groups and CC, and appropriate stuns etc.
Definitely spend your entire time medding then throwing out a nuke for a grand total of around 1 dps at most during a group.
It is frustrating because that's what I often see. On Red I had the opportunity to see a different concentration of classes. There, there are a lot of wizards, and with the group exp bonus you end up having a lot of them in groups.
A good wizard in a dungeon group is amazing. Will your sustained DPS be super high? No. But an intelligent wizard using roots, stuns, and huge nukes when appropriate (along with Evac if shit goes south) can often make the difference between deaths or not. The problem is too many wizards don't think like this and they often start fights with 20% mana vice 80%. Sitting at low mana doesn't increase your regen so I don't get why they do it.

Yeah for sure, I actually love the sound of having a 60 Druid. They seem like a lot of fun. I made the wizard so I can be lazy actually lol. Nukes and ports. No buffing or no pulling (in some situations). Even with ports, I can be lazy and TL people to most places, cept Velious. Wizard = my lazy class.
I main a raid warrior and alt is a bard...so those are my active classes. The times I feel like not doing much, I play the wizard or cleric :D

Usually on Wutaang or Ayliket or Myrdrraal these days. Might catch me on Tekilya but doubtful.
But yes - Necromancer is probably what you are looking for. Its a nice class because you have lots of options. Also nice because you can charm and/or root rot your way through the sh!t levels of 55-60

One thing about necro is they aren't the laziest to level (they can be if you want to just do a couple of mobs and FD and afk) but I literally leveled my necro on red to 54 in his newb robe and a blackened iron medallion (put all my money into a cos) and I did fairly well. I spent a lot of time medding but there wasn't anything that I couldn't do on that char that I can do on my geared 54 necro on blue, I just do those things a lot more slowly on my unearned necro

Yeah, just because they can do a lot doesn't mean they can't be lazy too. I'd say playing a necro well takes some skill and attention.
Everyone's pretty right about wizards and druids, it does take some attention to root rot though!

Druid. 1-29 are probably the slowest levels.
29-40 FV cliffs with an enchanter.
40-50 TD aviaks with an enchanter.
Quad to 55.
Bear pits to 60.
You now have a character that can port/buff/pl for quick plat without having to deal with camps/ec tunnel.
Also easy to move gear between alts and buy spells/items in remote places.

Eh, this is misses the point.
Roots? How many classes can and do root?
Stuns? Again several other classes do this as well.
Evac? Will discuss this further below - Druids get that too plus a whole lot more.
Huge nukes? This is a yes, but other classes have big nukes for that rare instance where you NEED a hard burn.
Yes wizards can do these. Yes a good wizard should do these things. No, a wizard does not add great value because the job, if needed, is easily done by others. When not doing these jobs, wizard sustained dps is about 1/4 the sustained dps potential of a summoned pet.
Wizards get the short end of the stick. It’s not fair, but that’s how it is. It is most easy to compare them to Druids given the overlap in CC and porting. Wizard nuking is more potent and marginally more efficient but DD sustained dps is terrible. Both Druids and wizards evac equally well. CC? Again, comparable. For wizards - it stops there. For Druids it keeps going on and on including damage shield (most efficient damage per mana line in game), buffs, regens, heals, a worthwhile snare, harmony, charm ...
Compared to Mage? Mage nukes quite well. Damage shield again nets huge damage per mana spent actually making the Mage alone put out a lot more damage over time (nukes and DS) compared to wizard (nukes only). The mage PET will alone sustain 3-4x more damage than a wizard. Mage + pet blows wizard out of the water.
Unless you’re blowing up a 32k dragon or porting to hate/sky, wizards are flat out the worst class in the game in this era. Even with quadding, Druids do it better.
It sucks but that’s the way it is. The only reason to group with a wizard is because you are their friend (the best reason), you’re an overly nice person, or need to have evac available and can’t find a Druid.

I was in a group with 3 wiz, and enchanter, bard, cleric (me). Several years ago. Seemed to work out nice vs lizard clerics in CThule.
Is it optimal? Nope. Was it sufficient to basically clear that small temple to the left of the zone in, yeah.
At some point a well put together group just kills all the spawns it safely can, and no it may not be the best exp in game, but it's nice. Wizards are cool in the right settings / groups.
Are they a lazy class, yep.
That being said I think necroo is way more versatile. I've got mine up to lvl 12 now, just hanging around the bushes in unrest killing a few beetles here and there with a blue pet, exp is decent, and I just overdot because I tend to afk longer than I med.
My only time I grouped I saved the cleric with dark empathy while the ench got cc down and my pet almost killed us all. None of my spells would land rly because I was too low.
Was a fun 30 minutes or so, and back to the hedge.
I think resists hurt wiz a little bit less in a group than other classes because their nukes are fast casting and efficient.

Or because you don't min/max everything in the game and are willing to take someone in a group even though it doesn't provide 100% optimal exp in a 19 year old elf-simulator? Nowhere did I state that Wizards were the best/worst of anything. I was merely stating some of the oft-forgotten things they provide when in a group. But hey if I need to roll a monk with 100k of gear in Kurns to be invited to your groups then I'll stick to soloing Minotaurs in Steamfont.

Not sure if I would group with myself as a necro, I tried soloing an even con centaur charger and it wiped the floor with me and my lvl 29 pet. Had to FD at 10%
... casted darkness... resist, pet, fear, darkness, pet, boil blood, fear, reist 3x, FD.
Am I doing necro wrong?
Going to stick with it, I probably suck because I don't have gear and am using too high a level darkness for being in an outdoor zone with very little adds.

You shouldn't be hunting even cons most of the time. Unless you have something like Tash/Malo you can expect an inordinate amount of resists - this has nothing to do with your skill level as a Necro, only your level.
In general, your goal should be to hunt the lowest dark blues you can find as they have the maximum experience per effort, and lowest risk of death.

That Wizard vs Druid comparions is unfair I think .... I still stand by my first answer in this topic that Wizard is a better answer to OP's question because of lazyness.
My wizard is 35 and druid 54, but let me give you an exemple at lvl 29 because they both get a DD upgrade at this cycle so this seems fair.
So let's say you're camping gnoll spire in SK (a very lazy camp with "fast xp" for a teleporter like Druids/Wizards because of the Scroll quest in Qeynos right? so it fits the bill)
Here is how I solo this camp with my Wizard:
3.60CT Inferno Shock = 237dmg
<get into tanking mode yay>
<throw in some Staff of Temp Flux debuff for less resists>
Global Cooldown Refresher (GCDR) + 3.60CT Inferno Shock = 237dmg
GCDR + 3.60CT Inferno Shock = 237dmg
Now the gnoll is running away and I finish him off with Solist's Icy Wand.
Total damage = 711 dmg
Total mana used = 405 mp
Total time Tanking = 7.20 seconds
Total time of the fight = about 20 seconds (Solist wand sucks :p )
Then sit on your ass and med and wait for next pop.
Now you try to do the same thing with the Druid
3.50CT Combust = 171 dmg
<get into tanking mode yay>
GCDR + 3.50CT Combust = 171 dmg
GCDR + 3.50CT Combust = 171 dmg
GCDR + 3.50CT Combust = 171 dmg
total damage at this point = 684 dmg
let's say your DS made some dmg and you kinda landed one or two hits between casts so that it's enough for the mob to flee... then you have to finish it off, maybe meleeing? so you snare? another smaller DD? a DoT?
Total mana used = at least 440 mp, without counting Snare and all the buffs you have on yourself and the slightly higher chance of resists and higher chance to fizzle or get interrupted cause more casts.
Total time Tanking = at least 10.50 seconds
Total time of the fight = at least 20 seconds like the wizard, most probably 30+ sec.
So this is probably a dumb way to solo on a druid, and you start using DoTs and Roots etc. fights last for more than one minute and you have to constantly refresh buffs, swap spells, switch between melee and medding, etc.
at some point you can probably sit on your ass and med and wait for next pop like a wiz.
But in the end, there is no question that the wizard is much easier and lazier than the druid (you use only one spell! lol). and probably faster too (even though here you might wanna count the bigger picture with sow to run to the quest giver and back to camp etc.? my wizard has Jboots so not a big deal either hehe).
OP's question was "Lazyest and fastest class to level up" and for that I think Wizard is much better than a Druid. That has absolutely nothing to do with the Wizard being a better overall class than the Druid. But it's just so single-minded into having the best DDs in the game that this allows thing that "slightly worse DD" like Magicians or Druids will make suddenly impossible. You can just burn down one MOB's HP faster and better than any other class. And if that's not lazy then what is xD

I actually agree with all this, I think i have a 39 wiz account somewhere with jboots even... this is like the truth. It's great to just be a DE wiz with hide and walk away and hope no one kills u and finds your bind.
I found an OK spot on my necro to kill with at 29, but yeah, it's involved, end up taking 2-3 minutes to kill a mob, and since medding while kiting, IDK... I end fights at 40% mana naked, and I just want to sit and kill the other one, yeah, I could pretend I'm a wizard, get up and do stuff, and come back, and yeah I do this, but wizards are the best at this.
I think mobs that really fustrated me on my wiz though, were some of the nastier casty mobs that even if I burned down fast would leave me low hp, and not ready for a fight 10 minutes later.
I'm trying not to reroll, because like, really the end game is to be like lvl 55 and go farm lewt for a cleric alt or something and just help newbz level one day in MM when I'm bored and harras the veteran pvpers with my terrible non-l33t lack of skillz. For this necro+pet is just handy.
And ya, druids are the best plers and good for buffing lowbies for pvp, but i have a soft spot for the cleric class IDK..... Rez and able to calm/lull low lvl mobs + healing on any other class makes me feel ill.
if you dont mind picking a class you like but want it to be fast even if its a slower leveling class, get bound in freeport, go to the druid ring in WC and beg for buffs and keep begging for thorns and shove your face into everything around and repeat. Works great to get to 14-15 real quick. Then play normally with a headstart :D

I did the facetank/nukespam method on my wizard until the 40s. In terms of time spent actively playing it is very efficient.
You can carry some +hp gear to let you bandage to a higher absolute HP armount, then when you swap back in your AC/mana gear you'll be significantly above 50%. Also, max hp is low, so i found after bandaging/medding your hp would be pretty close to full. Can always use a few runes if really needed.
Once gnoll scrolls wear thin, do oasis or OOt spectres* for decent plat and the chance of Ancient Cyclops snipes. After that do wyverns and drakes in Cobalt Scar for gems.
*don't facetank nukespam spectres, their stun and life tap are not friendly.

I absolutely love playing a Druid. You start out tank/nuking mobs and then as you get higher in levels you can root/rot, kite, quad-kite or charm an animal for some pet tanking. Plus getting sow and ports is a huge advantage. You are even popular for grouping but usually because the group needs a healer and no cleric is around.
All that said, Bards are the kings of soloing IMO. I have recently duoed with Bards in LoiO and my exp bar has never moved so fast. I dinged 24, 25 and 26 in one day. I used to think Druids quad kiting was impressive (killing 4 mobs at once rocks!). Then I watched these bards kill 20 mobs at the same time with their swarm kiting or whatever they call it. 20 fricken mobs go down in 10 minutes time and then they go grab another 20 mobs and do it again. Of course any lag spikes = dead bard but still the reward is well worth the risk.

Bards are the king of AOE swarm kiting in certain areas, not soloing. That title would go to Enchanter. They can go almost anywhere and solo almost anything that is soloable. Is their EXP/hr as high as a bard? No, but they are generally more desirable and can solo almost anywhere, with arguably the second highest possible exp rate in the game.

Solo lazy/easy mode- either of the quadding classes (wizard or druid). Druid in particular. Ensnare 4 mobs, run them around until they are together, nuke them down, then sit for 10 minutes while you med up to full. Can't possibly be easier way to make decent exp. You can always spice it up a bit with charming, duoing etc. but really ensnare is so OP (35 mana, lasts like 10 minutes) makes quadding a joke.
Group lazy/easy mode- hard to beat a mage. DS tank then /pet attack and toss an occasional nuke and/or click burnt wood staff will make you out dps almost anyone else (other than charms). You're not responsible for CC, pulling, heals, roots, snares, etc. and still very valuable for group dps.

Bard xp/hr solo rate not swarming is top notch after your very first charm song. Finding the ideal location can always be a challenge and there certainly are fewer options than enchanter.
But yeah I spent most of my upper 50s soloing (lack of group). Solo xp was insane compared to partial or full groups in the best locations. I could drop 10 lv 45+ mobs per 14 minutes and get 100% xp with charm + chant dots.
Bard solo xp potential I'd argue is far greater than any other class .. the only draw back compared to ench is the lack of places you can do it.

If you are quading something like 4s in WL the spawn time is equal regardless of class. This mostly applies to upper 50s because the number of places to exp that way is pretty limited.

While I'm not claiming this is false, I've never seen it. It definitely is possible but the number of bards I've seen solo charm well is somewhere between 0 and 3.

That may be because the musty rooms in KC and the depths of Old Sebilis are not ideal for a solo bard charm, although there are a few spots in those dungeons where it can work pretty well.
But better spots exist in outdoor zones, and if you haven't seen a bard doing that well, you must not be frequenting those spots.
In addition to doing it myself, I've seen several other bards doing it well. It's quite doable, and as Troxx mentions, very fast experience.

I’ve only been impressed by a few select bards in my time here on p99. It’s a busy class and unfortunately many will not explore the capabilities of the class beyond aoe swarm dotting and/or lazily twisting songs while autoattacking for pitiful dps.
Two mobs doubling each other for 130-150s along with 35-45 sustained dps from your own dots makes for some wickedly fast killing.
