One of the big problems is if the system changes than who gets to decide who can and cant have guns for political reasons.
We already have a background check system that works. And people who shouldn't have guns can easily get access to them illegally.
They're here, there is no changing that or magically making them all disappear.

Alright I'm too lazy to research this atm...but to me I admit it is kind of a mind fuck.

Trump just pointed out something no one else even seemed to consider. That maybe due process comes after gun seizure....like a million other things in our legal system...they don't necessarily let you walk around free until all your due process is completed -- do they?

But why is Trump pushing this unless he actually believes in some form of effective gun control?
