On Monday the 12th, The Second Sons will be hosting a Server Wide Event! Filled with action, friendship, betrayal and death! The Game of Discords will test your decision making and combat abilities! Will you succeed by forming an alliance, or perhaps by breaking one? Who will be the last man standing to claim sole ownership of King! What friends will you betray to get to there? Who will be there to guide you along your journey? Will you rush to Level, form an alliance, or quest for treasures?





What exactly is the Game of Discords?
It is a Free For all server wide event held by The Second Sons. It is an hour long race starting at the Gates in Qeynos and ending in FREE FOR ALL PVP MATCH! Last man standing will Receive 15,000 pp!

How do I start?
Make a level one character of any class and race you choose. ( We highly suggest using a Game of Thrones themed name ) Get this toon bound near the gate of Qeynos. Turn in your book of discord.

What can I do on or with the toon before the race start?
You CAN: Get them ported to Qeynos and bound Near the Gate. Turn in your book of Discord. Get them bag/containers. Get them there spells UP TO LEVEL 14.
You CAN NOT: Get them any equipment. Level them to level 2. Give them any consumables. Get them buffed at all. Give them any PP. Give them spells PAST LEVEL 14.

What zones will the race be in?
The race will be limited to Qeynos, Qeynos Hills, BlackBurrow.

What stuff can I loot on my toon?
Anything that drops from the 3 zones your allowed in. Anything you can purchase in these 3 zones.

What Quests can I do?
Any quests from these 3 zones. The Second Sons will also be setting up Unique quests to get some neat items. There will players tagged <the Second Sons> in all 3 zones with Quest dialogue. These quests will be designed to give you an item that will give you a slight advantage but also take up some of your time.

Can I team up, form an alliance with other players?
Yes you can! You also can break that alliance whenever u want !

Can I kill people during the 1 hour level up time?
No.

When does it start?
6 PM CST Monday the 12. We will start binding people, helping port and rez in Qeynos. The Hour long experience/equipment race will start at 8:15 CST Sharp. We will round people up at 9:15 and Organzide for the PVP fight at 9:30. The Fight will start at Approxiametely 10 PM CST!

What is the prize?
15,000 PP provided by The Second Sons.

What will win the fight? Just pure level? Equipment? An alliance? The right Class? There will be a Discord Server Set up for Everyone to join to keep up on the action. There will be Voice Channels set up with a max of 4 people allowed so that Alliances can be made, and broken! Join the Discord and change your Nickname to your level 1 toon.

I am Doing all of this out of our own time and money. The point of this is to have fun! Our guild motto in The Second Sons is Friendship and Pride, and I expect to see every person who joins regardless of Guild Tag or Main, to show respect for the heart and the rules of the game. And by pre-farm I mean a level 60 Bard pulling the entire zone and the level 1 looting the fangs and waiting until the event starts.

You have 1 hour to level after the event starts, so theoretically all you should be able to level to is maybe like 5, but with Fang exploits or potential powerleveling you could circumvent this and reach 14 within an hour I am sure.

Example is Bard powerleveling - technically its not 'buffing' your guy since it operates off snare agro and damage shield. Bard is doing '0' damage but the mob is wrecking itself on the damage shield and not attacking you, you do 1 point of damage you get full XP. This breaks the spirit of the rule but not really the letter of the law

DQ'd. you show up to the fight and u got an ITEM NOT OBTAINED from the 3 zones, or one of our quests. DQ'd. You get Plvled by someone or even group with someone not in a Red name. DQ'd.

Im not sure how to clear this up any further. Do not give them any equipment, items, xp turn ins, consumables, clickes, ANYTHING besides containers and The spell for your class.

The intentions is for everyone to start at a clean slate. Fresh level 1 no equipment no bagged advantages. Just a good clean race from the start and some fun twists thrown in along the way. There will be ways to win items and PP outside of the main prize and even if you are the first to die in the FFA there will be fun to be had tell the end!

I seriously doubt anyone will get past 8 legitimately. Like i said we will be in each zone and at vital places making sure everyone is playing nice. Its a few hours event. Fun to be had. Again a big part of this is going to be forming an alliance and potentially keeping, or breaking them based on incentives. There will also be unique quests that u can do to get things like Worn See invis or maybe a HP/Mana ring. Potentially some Magician summoned items.



Also planning on a Mini raid encounter in QH in the last 10 minutes of the hour with some goodies that will be randomed off to the ones who helped kill it.

There will be plenty of fun and adventure to be had without needing to cheat.

It's definitely possible with collaboration between players to get one person in an alliance to a high level (for instance grouping and giving one character all the gnoll fangs), but that would require some very high coordination. It would probably just be easier to say don't level beyond X level.

I Very much intend for some people to use an alliance to get one toon higher. That may also work against you in the end. remember I will be doing LIVE incentives to kill or not kill different people at different times. So just being the one lvl 14 Might actually work against you.

The rest ill probably play it by ear... Someone may decide to just turn in a discord book and start ganking newbs, likely a troll war decked in pre-raid gear...

Events are awesome, kudos to Sons for working on doing one for the server.

As for not talking about cheating, this will not make it so people won't cheat.

My only concern is there are so many working parts to the event it's going to be impossible to watch every individual and know if someone is cheating or not. Even just equipping one twink item can give a huge advantage.

I just think it's too complicated and way too hard to enforce all the rules set forth because the fact of the matter is people WILL cheat if they think they can get away with it.

Sometimes simple events are better because it's easier to monitor the players involved and it leaves less room for players to cheat.

That being said, good luck on the event and hopefully no one cheats.

I find it a little funny that some ppl would go thru so much effort to cheat for a measly 15k... Granted 15k for a one hour event is pretty good... But really? Any decent solo class at 60 can make 2 to 5k plat a day (or more) with little effort if they know what they are doing

The biggest threat of a cheat is ninja Fungi Tunic regen. Only takes a few seconds of wearing it for a full regen at these super low levels.

The point to the Spells is for everyone to be on a level playing field. A Iksar Necro should have same chance at getting spells as a Human Cleric. The points of the spells are NOT for a source of money. They are for being memorized and used for PVP/Exp.

No Aqueducts. During the hour no one is to kill each other. This is the time to focus on leveling/questing/forming an alliance. After the hour of EXP'ing we will move to a PRE determined arena. Once everyone is in position there will be given a few minutes. Then a FFA battle royal will commence. With the LAST ONE ALIVE, getting the prize. Once you have been eliminated, you will speak to the priest of Order and turn your PVP off and you are welcome to run over and watch the Battle finish.

IF YOU ARE CAUGHT CHEATING, you will be DQ'D and PK'd on the spot and your body will be camped by some very angry nasty Guards. If you level up 2 minutes after the event is started, you will be DQ'd and PK'd. If you are seen using weapons/armor/clickies/buffs/ANYTHING THAT I EVEN REMOTELY FEEL LIKE IS UNFAIR. YOU WILL BE DQ'D , PK'D, and corpse camped tell end of the event. Would not be a wise idea to put anything of value on your lowbie. I guarantee you will be very unhappy being corpse camped for over 4 hours with your Fungi on a corpse, and a nasty Guard waiting for you to return.

If you caught interfering in ANY WAY, you will suffer the same treatment.

If you are caught using /role or /anon YOU WILL BE DQ'D, PK'D, and camped!

Basically 2 necros grouped together (and had all their spells pre-bought), so just leveled up to 4 and 5....then summoned 2 level 5 pets with 2h weapons (hitting for 18) to kill all the 2's and 3's warriors / rogues / so on running around.

And the fight was put on top of a hill with lots of slopes, so pets had an easy time decimating everyone.

The idea was really good though! Especially with encouraging alliances and strategies to level or get special equipment and things. Maybe next time ban pets?

Hey, I was the winner Bessiestitz. I put a lot of effort into researching the best way to do this. While it may have been insurmountable to kill us that is just part of the game. I'm not sure what people expected playing melee classes in a clearly caster favored event. Melee without equipment are just awful this low. We were actually 3 necros. Bessiestitz, Yungstannis, and Seasonfour. Seasonfour is new to MmOs so he went down pretty quick. We gave our pets 2H because pet attack speed is not affected by weapon speed and if the weapon is higher than their attack (which is 12 at level 5) it increases their damage. It was truly slaughterfest, but you get out what you put in.

I think a bigger arena would have been better. I was expecting enchanters to be turned into trees hiding, etc. Maybe PUBG style where the area shrinks over time. Definitely do this event again, though!

I wanted to hide until the last necro was up, but they made me appear. I was laughing my ass off watching the necro pets bring the pain to all the level three toons. A true battle royale was had.

Out of curiosity, would anyone like to see an emu server based off of this concept? I really like the idea of a PUBG-style battle royale server that resets every 3 hours or so.

Exp accelerated. Loot would be randomized, dropped on the ground and on NPCs, limited to pre-planar.

Qeynos North/South, Blackburrow, Hills only active zones. Limited zones available. The game would have a level cap of 15. First player to 15 wins the battle royale, at which point all characters would be deleted. Leaderboards would be displayed on a website and you could try and compete for most wins.

What do you guys think of that idea? It'd have anti-MQ2 map and warp protection with no external client files needed.

Hey thanks for the Fippy shoutout. I haven't actually been recording anymore. The last video didn't seem to garner any interest, so I figured people didn't like it. The 15k is going towards our Fungi savings.
