New install issues / Error 1017

Howdy All!

New install (went smoothly) and when i login (station name/pass) I get the server list. When i select a server and click "Play Everquest!" it takes me back to the login screen. I put my Username/pass in and it give me this.

Error 1017: Cannot loin to the Eq server. You may need to re-run the update patch. Repeatedly seeing this message indicates a loss of connectivity to the patch server. This is usually temporary.

I have re-installed and ensured the proper files are there and not corrupt. I have also tried different servers and have the same issue. :(

Any ideas?

Disregard everyone! I missed the "read here first" thread about the 1017 errors and turned off overclocking and it works like a charm!

I'm having this same issue but can get into other servers. I am OC'd, but other servers don't 1017 me, just p99. Y'all have any ideas? I had been playing while OC'd for ages, recently upped my RAM clockspeed after some new Ryzen updates and i seem to have been snagged by just the p99 servers.
