Appealing recent GM actions

Dear Citizens of Project 1999's Red Server,

I come to you today to spread news of a grave mistake which was made recently by one of the GM staff.
I have been on a hiatus so I am not up to speed on what's happened since the age of Cylock and his cleansing of OOC.

However, I recently learned that my dear friend, a gnome by the name of Fartsniffer, was robbed of his identity and forced to change his name to just "Sniffer".

This raises many questions.

Who is offended by farts?
Are you serious?


Please, if there is any justice in Norrath at all, you must free Fartsniffer from this atrocity. He is innocent.
I fear for the safety of my own accounts, because I am also a fan of toilet humor, such as butts, and yes - indeed - farts.

Thanks Holey for your support, I am still in a bit of a shock personally, but the outreach has been tremendous so far. This is one of those cut and dry situations where a mistake was made.

Farts, poops, and butts, have been funny and not offensive since the day you crawled out of your mothers womb. It's the universal language of laughter.

The implication is astounding. He's allowed to be a "sniffer" - which leaves some stuff to the imagination, like what is he sniffing? Is it drugs? If so, why is that not offensive on P99 Red?

How come you can sniff other things, but not farts in particular?

I made a Troll Warrior in classic named Bastard. For many years I had this name. Even paymelinda said it was cool. Everything was great until Sirk-dawg told me there were multiple petitions from the great people of Holocaust (the one that raided, not the original group) that it was offensive. It was promptly changed.

Shortly after I lost the will to play that character despite just needing one more skin for epic. RIP.
