So yeah, my Alchemy skill has been 170 since like June. After the skill level patch my skill never changed. It stayed at 170 like always. Just today, was making an item that Ive made hundreds of, I didn't fail it, I didnt get a skillup (as it was trivial) and all of a sudden my Alchemy drops down to 130! What the heck!

Yes, and for the last 5 months my skill has 170, and I've been making thousands of potions. My skill just randomly reset on Saturday. Its a bug! Thats why I posted here :-)

It's not a bug. You're at the max level you should be at.

Then how come my skill didnt reset 5 months ago when the change was made? How come other people who have a skill of 170 didnt have their skill bug out and reset back to 130?

I'd heard about this and stopped making port potions. So maybe the skilldrop doesn't happen for only non-trivial potions; maybe it happens for potions that a have a trivial above this new cap. My Alchemy is at 167 and has stayed there only making null and ivu and resist pots.

You are smart. if you made something that could have given you a skillup, it would have reset you to 130. But If you stick with just trivial potions, it shouldn't reset. Except mine did, hence the bug post!

Bump. Hoping to get some fix or something on this soon. All the other shamans I know are too scared to even try to make ANY potions now lol.

Your question has been answered several times. It's not a bug.
