I've always given my charm pets a single Adamantite band but I now understand some people use two. Are they known to wear both? How do we know?

Why not just give them 2. If they don't use it, it doesn't hurt. If they do use it then you win

You can determine an NPC's total hp. If you think that NPCs can equip a different number of rings than PCs, you can test your theory by charming an NPC for which you know the exact number of hit points it has and then give it two bands. You then kill the NPC and look at how much damage it took to kill. If its HP increased by at least 150 you know it can wear two. IF you give it 3 and it's HP increases by 225, omg you've stumbled onto something amazing....if it's HP only increased by 75 when you gave it two or more bands, you know it can only wear one.

I would just try it with a level 1 mob, just saying... decaying skeleton for example.

Funny this came up. I had always been under the impression that it was 1 ring for pets.
I've also been hearing two, so I took 2 adamantite bands to a decaying skeleton pet and did a test the other night. The first band adjusted the pet's hp from 100% to 18%. As expected.
I gave it a second band and its hp sure enough dropped again, from 18% to 11%. If it only wore 1 ring, it shouldn't move at all. So now I'm of the opinion that 2 may be correct.

Put 2 hp rings on a level 1 mob and see if it needs 70 or 130 hp (ish) to die.

Anything that can be worn in pairs can only be worn as single items by pets/npc.
1 bracer/earring/wrist
That’s how it has always worked on live, but who knows ... p99 may be different.

I think it's been tested before showing they can wear pairs. I know tecmos did some testing. Their was a thread on it before.

I mean, maybe it's changed. But I actually tested it, and provided proof of my tests. Literally everyone who says pets can only wear 1 ring/earring/etc just make the allegation with no backing whatsoever.

Can all mob types use two rings? What about charmed animals, for druids and shamans, or spectres for necros?

Did you test if a third ring does anything, Endorra?
