I received a /tell recently asking me for my objective opinion on picking a race to min/max an SK. My opinion was being considered objective because while level 60, I'm a Dark Elf and must not care about any of that. I can't even quantify the times I've been asked what the hell I was thinking during my level grind.
There are already many posts about SK race stats, FSI, Regen, so I wanted to just leave a little something here for the other hopeful DE SK out there with the INT to see that they can pick up that old, untwinked, toon that has been sitting at level 24 for 4 years and take it to level 60, epic, and part of the pull team for a full VP clear in less than 6 months, like I have.
The payoff? Being disputedly the best looking active main on p99 :p
Once I've got full Sky Shrine, we'll settle that argument for good.

Custom helms are a definitely love or hate (for all classes) but arguably DE's have the coolest plate graphics regardless of expansion.

Nice look and the epic is money. :)

Supposedly, DE is the best SK choice for pvp because of the mana pool. Maybe not so important on blue.

I love SKs! Really wish that EQ gave them a defensive sort of disc, even if it was half as effective as defensive for wars! Love the look!

Okay, the Magelo quote got me.

Caught in a zone train. No escape from reality. Page-Up your eyes, levitate through the skies and see. I'm just a poor SK, I need no donation. Because I'm easy res, FD slow, very high, mana low. Anyway the Shadow Vortex blows, doesn't really matter to me

Probably too many lol.
I was pushing hard to get 60 as fast as i could. My guild was very generous to me once i joined so i got a lot further in gear than i expected to be at this point.

Exactly! That's why most should wear darkforge armor all the way to 60. The best looking armor out there.

People are weird, I get condescendingly questioned about why my Druid is a human instead of "anything else" multiple times a month, and that race choice is far less significant than SK.

No idea why it bothers people to see others choose a more obscure race. I know Dark Elves are the best looking race though.

The funny thing is Humans make great Druids.

Humans start with only 5 less wisdom than wood elves and halflings, and 15 MORE points of wisdom than half elves!

Humans also can choose Tunare as a Druid deity, and they can do what no other Druids can do which is wear robes.

Anyone that thinks humans make bad Druids are ignorant.

Also, no one can girdle your karanas like a well built human druid.
