They're gone and not coming back
Epic is 100k
Torpor is 100k
other misc spells are nearly 100k in the high 50's
shaman first is not an easy quest, what are some places to grind cash?

Lotta those prices are wrong (not that I dislike the idea) it seems that it is indeed the best viable strategy to just sell 50 pairs of jboots.

Yeah, unfortunately I added them during a different era of the server economy, and it would be an impossible amount of work to keep them up to date. You can easily get a more accurate price by clicking on their link though.
As for 50 pairs of jboots, I think it's all about finding the camp that works for you. If you like doing AC then stick to that, but if not there are plenty of other viable ways to make plat.

Filbus is right. Join a guild that kills what you need and you won't have to spend the money. You will have to stick with it, guilds really don't like it when they give someone 200k in spells/epics only to have them bounce the next day.

Jboots MQ, farming, and tunnelquest for months if you value your autonomy.
Other option is to be in a raid guild and for as long as you guilded being stuck kissing ass the whole time while being enslaved to a whip cracking, guild leading neckbeard that demands you to answer his every command.
Nothing is free, and everything has a price. What the price is depends on the route you take.

If you don't value your sanity, camp sarnak courier for few weeks.
The price of the ring he drops hasn't gone down and probably wont.

Best cash camp is (and most likely always will be) Fungi King in Sebelis. Common drop that sells for 50k that is easily 1 grouped and with the proper classes can be duo'd/trio'd/quad'd it with no issue.

I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen a shaman without torpor/malo down at Seb King.
Just join a guild you feel comfortable with. If they are a good guild, they'll help you once you've proven your worth.
100% agree about joining a guild (Anonymous is recruiting if anyone is looking for a casual raid guild). But that being said, I did King a couple of times pre-Torpor, and even once pre-Malo, and it is doable as long as the group has a decent cleric and enchanter.
I wouldn't recommend it of course: if you're a pre-Malo/Torpor Shaman CE/Crypt is the better camp. You can do it even pre-60 and it has a chance of 15k Heiro cloak, a 10k JBB, some other minor stuff and (if you're really lucky) even Torpor itself.
