Me and my friend started to play EQ back in the Kunark era. PvP RP on Zek. SK ans SHM Iksars killing softskins all over the place. Those were some epic times. We just found out about p99 Kunark beta and decided to come back for the best gaming experience of our lifes. I know of few more who return for Kunark specificaly. I am hoping the population will get over 1000, perhaps 1500 on peaks?

What do you guys think? Will Kunark have big effect on population?

Is there many classic players who plan to roll Iksar main? Just wondering wheether there will be enough Iksars to group with...

the server gets up around 800 at peak time. Ive had countless discussions with lots of people about what the server population will get like over Kunarks release. i think that right away it wont get much higher than 1000 but i think that over april and may it'll keep increasing and i wouldnt doubt summer bringing an extra fwe hundred people. end result? id say 1500 easy by summer. and the good thing is, that this servers so great that people come and they stay for long periods of time. not like the other emu servers where people get in there play for a week then dip out because its ass.

there will be more than enough iksars around lol FoB is gonna have 50+ at all times i guarantee it

i will focus on getting to level 60 on my shaman and cablis faction before i roll an iksar

really looking forward to the release of kunark even more so for the release of velious as that was my fav expansion

once velious is done and dusted i hope the devs create there own expansion to keep things fresh

as much work as that sounds like, if there could be a seperate "lost 4th expansion" that just goes in a totally different version than luclin - that'd be awesome rofl.

keep dreaming though is what the more correct answer would be.

Also with server population, even with a lot of people coming back. It's starting to be summer instead of winter for a lot of people as well across the states. I for one am excited to get out of the house for a bit. =D

After I farm my Kunark stuffs that is!

Pretty Epic. Funny how small, yet how large of and expansion Kunark is.

It's true. Kunark wasn't that much of an expansion, particularly compared with how game-changing SoV and SoL were - but what it did change was so groundbreaking for its time that it pushed EQ from being a good MMO to a great/legendary one.

I generally depart from what appears to be the majority view on these forums and consider SoL about 60-80% a really cool expansion, but agree that it was probably the point where EQ started a serious decline - I never played to PoP and would probably change my mind had I done so - but Luclin had a ton of fun stuff. No, I never played a beastlord, nor will I ever =P

It's partially why i'm hoping that a few years from now, once Velious is on farm status the way classic is now, that portions of Luclin are opened. If It doesn't happen, that's fine, but whatever.

I'll work on one with ya ;p Maybe a subterranean labyrinth system beneath the world (Deep Roads style) that connects from LGuk to SolB to Permafrost to The Hole to Kedgekeep and can be accessed from several topside entrances all over...

just a giant network of dungeons, and maybe a subterranean city. No more fighting over spawns~ add in a raid encounter or 4. ;p

i just wasnt a fan of Luclin because of the whole graphic change. i just thnk they did a bad job at re doing the graphics, and the new player models were fucking wack lol they should have done a much better job on them.

PoP was a great expansion MINUS the plane of knowledge. the books everywhere really was a bad idea, and catered to that "easy" crowd. they should have just made one book on each continent and that was that, or maybe just one book in Antonica, like in the middle of a zone where it was hard to get to. Should have kept EC and fucked off the bazaar. but the planes were great, and i remember how excited i was leveling my characters up so that i could try and get into the planes :D
