I like my playable models to run around with stiff upper bodies and Frankensteinian movements!

Also, the music on that video should be present in all zones it adds an element of primal urgency to everything you do.

P.S. I think that video clip is from a time before Skarlorn was even born. :(

1000% fake. there's no way the running animations back in 97 were better than they were in 99. additionally, look how much cooler some of the character models are that went used.

It was. There were a few others that were earlier, but EQ the first that really pulled it off. Meridian 59 is a good example.

That Naggy footage!

I went on a naggy raid last night on P99 and it got me thinking how SolB is one of the coolest zones in all of EQ. Kobald caves lead into bug caves, bug caves lead to Fire Giant castle, Fire Giant castle leads to Dragon lair. The entire thing is a maze like death trap with lava tunnel shortcuts and multiple zone lines. I think SolB is my favorite zone in Everquest
