WToV Friday/Saturday Raid?

For all those who were at last week's WToV raid, there were some players who expressed interest in moving the raid to Saturday morning, given the time zone differences and wanting the raid to go on longer than three hours.

Vote for Friday 7pm EST or Saturday 10am EST or BOTH. If there isn't a sizable majority in favor of Saturday over Friday, the raid will continue on as it has, on Friday. If there are enough who vote BOTH, than we can coordinate for Saturday's raid before the end of Friday's raid. Also, only vote BOTH if you intend on being in attendance for both. The specific times can be adjusted +/- an hour or two, depending on the general consensus. Leave a comment below if you would like a change in the hour of the day.

I intend to have my ranger parked outside to harmony Sontalak for those who are KoS on Friday, but likely will not be able to show up if the raid is held on Saturday so someone else will need to volunteer to do that.

In the past, we have had a mage eye/coth people to WToV. Also, someone was nice enough to set up a spread sheet for the three armor pieces each player will be randoming on. Everything should be in place in order for the raid to work without Draconite hosting the event this time, so let's continue getting more loot and rub it in his face when he gets back ;).

It's worth noting that clerics, necros, mages, and rogues are in high demand. We always seem to have enough tanks and monks on board, but bring whatever class you have that's 55+.

You aren't the first person to say this, hence the consideration for moving the time back. I took into account the Eastern and Western time zones for U.S. and must have misjudged the time a bit.

And Saturday morning is Saturday night for Euro, half the players who show up are European so we're showing them some consideration.

Okay, so let's aim for 8pm EST (5pm PST) on Friday? Then we can see if there's enough. If not than we'll call it and those who are interested can stay parked for Saturday @ 1pm EST (10am PST). My biggest concern for Friday was having CST/EST people (clerics) needing to log in order to sleep, but if there are enough PST players, than the raid should have the numbers.

If you arrive late for the raid, just send one of us a tell in game or hop in Discord. I can switch over to Harmony as needed and we can get you cothed in.

Friday @ 6/7pm Eastern has been great for me since i go to bed around 10:30...it only took me 7 years of playing to finally find someone that would "raid" at a time that was good for me.

Was excited about doing Sat mornings as well....but if we start @ 10a.m. eastern then hell, just about time shit gets rollin it will be time for lunch =/

But luckily im just one jackass and i dont have a cleric or rogue and my shammy doesn't have Torp so its completely irrelevant if i show up anyways.

Eventually we'll work out the kinks. In the future, if people want to start earlier or later, just hash it out in Discord chat and see who's available when. Nothing is set in stone. If there's enough of you all, do it an hour or two earlier than us and we'll be the late arrivals. For now, we'll see if enough show up tonight at the set time.

Aye, we're going to try it for both days. It's a definite go for Saturday though.

If you are KoS, we'll have harmony set up so you can get by Sontalak. We will be in Discord. If you need the info, message one of us in game or on here. At the start of the raid, players will send a tell to the designated "host". In the tell, include the three armor types/slots you wish to roll on. If that piece drops, you will random against whoever else chose that item. If no one else chose the item, it defaults to you. If an item goes unchosen, everyone greed rolls on it. Thanks for those who showed up to try and give this a go. If we want to do this more successfully next week we are going to have to be more clear about our start times, and also a few more key classes would help provide more stability.

I really want to see this succeed but unfortunately it is difficult without enough people and interest in this.

Sorry about this. After all that planning, RL happened same day as raid. Sounds like many of the regulars weren't able to come on Friday. This next week will be better. Again, working out the kinks. Apparently Draco had too much faith in us doing it w/o him.

Honestly i think trying to do two days is pushing it. What ended up happening is we didnt have enough either day cause the population was split. Either need to have 100% of people on board for both days so we have enough or just stick to one day

Don't take last week as a control for how the weekly raids are going to happen. As I informed everyone, I was out of town and unable to attend, several others also didn't attend because of my absence. Even with population split, we will still have a solid showing once we get rolling on a usual week.

Friday will continue as usual with the new start time - 8 EST and the Saturday group can move with us to camp out for the next day. The more intrest, the more players, the more friends you bring the more often we will have a successful raid.
