Inaugural Open Naggy Raid Sept 25 (Monday) @ 4:30 p.m. U.S. Eastern

Raid starts at 4:30p.m. U.S. Eastern on Monday, Sept 25th from SolB zone-in. We'll move in together and clear the giants together.

If you want to participate and don't have a toon of the right level, higher-level toons are welcome to come in support.

This is going to be the first Naggy one, so it will be much like the pilot episode of a TV series. Kinks to work out, roles to define, etc., so I'll pre-ask for patience and for everyone to follow instructions. Vox went really, really well and I'm expecting the same today.

For those of you participating, this fight is about only one thing:

1. Not getting feared. That means that you should have MR in every slot that you can have it in. No amount of MR is too much MR for this fight. If you're perma-feared, you're more of a liability than an asset.

Jewelers can make MR bracelets, neck, and rings. That's kind of a baseline minimum so see if you can find those. Also see if you can get a "Greater Null" potion from a shaman. That's great additional MR.

If you were at Vox and got feared, up your game and get some MR gear. That's an investment that will serve you well throughout your raiding career.

This time, I'd like to put more of the responsibility of pulling and other key tasks on the open raiders. So have a look at the map and be ready to step up.

All loot will be open to all to /random on. If a torn, burnt book drops, I'd love to see it go to a pally main (like the frosty one did at Vox). Was pleased with the mindfulness and restraint showed on that roll.

Any reason why these slayings can not come during prime hours where more people can enjoy? This is at 3:30 CST (IE Middle of work day) and the Vox was at like 4:00am CST? This is a great idea but the actual execution is still just pandering to people who don't work or can play EQ anytime they want

Think they explained in the original thread, the raids would always be 1 hour after the end of the window. That way Cloki isn't blamed for setting bad times, the dragon is guaranteed to be up, and the spawns arent up for longer than necessary.

Hope I'm remembering that all correctly, but if not the explanation is in that thread.

Will we be still doing all direction in shout? If this is going to be a long term thing I hope at some point we can make a discord or some other voice application for easier communication. Thanks again for leading these, had a great time at Vox and I am looking forward to this as well!

Again, it is very cool of you guys to be doing this for the casual filth community. I had a level-locked character back on live and enjoyed the crap out of Vox/Naggy fights.

For those that are not familiar, definitely heed the MR requirement mentioned above. You may feel odd replacing a high AC or stat piece with simple MR jewelry, but it could mean the difference between actually contributing and being feared the entire time, potentially costing the raid force its win.

Not looking like I will be able to make this one, but I am certainly looking forward to joining y'all at some point!

That said, all raid instructions (for the ones I lead) will also be given in /shout.

We have a LOT of players on p99 whose first language isn't English - and reading instructions is often much easier for them than trying to decipher voice in a crowded voice chat room.

Naggy died around 9:30-10pm EST tonight. Would have to ask Blood Guard for an exact time of death.

Definitely some unfortunate timing, the last earthquake was 2-3 days before the open Vox raid and this one was 2 days before Naggy.

Naggy wouldnt have already been up though. So Bloodguard killed the rumbled Naggy. And rumbe repops for classic and kunark do not reset mob windows so he should still be due to repop today. As should VP tomorrow.
Velious is a different proposition. Something tells me rumble repops do reset Velious windows.
Server downtime/patches re-sets all windows.
If someone has more to add please do!

If that's the case, and I think it is, that means that the first Naggy run will be Sept. 30 at 12:30 p.m. U.S. eastern.

Sorry for the hiccup-ery. Not a thing we can do about it apart from adapt. Here's to hoping that there's not another 'quake between now and then.

We really cannot throw these parties on 'quake-ed Voxes and Naggys for lots of reasons. Part of the point of it all is the ability to schedule in advance.

Not sure, pretty sure that's the first time in my time playing p99 I've been online during an earthquake. Apparently Naggy didn't spawn today (per Cloki), so I guess it did reset timers. I just happened to be camping a Djarn's ring and saw the 20+ FTE shouts so figured I'd relay the message.

Looking at logs, the last FTE message was at 9:52pm EST so the death was probably closer to 10pm.
