Which of the two are the best for solo cash camps?

Wizards can quad after a bit
Shamans get soloable around 24ish? with good gear i think

As well, do necros have raid value late game? Their epic looks ridiculous and ive heard they are not very welcome over most other classes

Wiz/Druid quadding feels more consistent on income depending on your targets.
Shaman can get your foot in the door for big item drop targets, Due to torpor.
Necro can dabbled in both areas. Dot/pet/utility gets a steady income and FD/Utility enabls them to cheese their way to big drop targets.

If you have no capital to start with I recommend Necro.
If you have either unlimited time or capital I suggest shaman.

Neither will give you a unique feeling and both are not that exciting to play in groups late game.

Wizard just isn't that super cool in velious. If you had to pick a port/quad class I'd lean towards druids due to level 60 POTG the only thing they're good for. heh

Raiding a necro twitches mana to people. shaman get's spammed tells for FoS and tries to slow targets. Wizard nukes then sits for an hour. Druid cast potg on every group with casters, spot heals and also sits around for an hour.

What does a hiero cloak sell for these days? Shammies used to love soloing/selling those (and JBBs)

I like to say in EQ unless you're a warrior, cleric or rogue EVERYONE is someone else's bitch at high level either in groups or raiding. I love Plush. I think SHM with torpor is super powerful in groups and soloing stuff but god damn is shaman a mess to raid with. Million spells to cast so you end up just sitting there pressing buttons forever trying to get buffs on ppl and canni back up. Might as well be playing Cookie Clicker.

The cost of buying Torpor should be a big fat WARNING to anyone that rolls a shaman on this server too. Until something is done to fix the drop rate of that spell it's going to be worth a ton of money because everybody and their grandma has a shaman. I got lucky and bought my copy back when it was worth only 75k (and fungi's were worth 60k, and able to be farmed with a duo/trio). I can't imagine trying to get it now. I'd quit this damn server honestly.

If you just wanna solo and get money, play a necro. Wizard is useless unless you want to nickel and dime your way to a fortune in Dial-a-port. Shaman will end up eating more money than you make until you can afford Torpor. So stupid that such a powerful, class-defining spell is locked behind such a ridiculous paywall due to the bloated economy on this server, but that's life I guess. At least you don't have to try and buy a mage epic from one of the top guilds.

Necros are amazing from level 1-60 and stay awesome at 60.

Wizard class has got to be one of the worst for making plat, except when you get ae groups, if those still happen.

I made a fortune doing SF ae before that was fixed, and Chardok wasn't bad either. Otherwise, quadding near merchants was alright (my 40s at Oasis specs). I don't know how lucrative it is to be a port whore.

Porting is good money if you apply the right formula.

I'm curious as to what that formula is, but I suppose you gotta be in DaP to get the business secrets to profit.

Money Toons...

Enchanter (If you know how to play)
Shaman (If you can invest half a mil plat into making him a torpor/ epic shaman)
Bard (If you know what your doing have patience)
Necromancer (Good with little work / effort)
Druid (Path of least resistance /lazymode porting for plat available)

**Support Role>> Cleric (if your friends are Enchanters)

Not saying classes not listed here cant make good money, they can depending on people you know, groups, and of course luck of the roll. But the ones listed here are pretty much top tier when it comes to having "Alot of options" when soloing, duo/trio or in groups to make good plat, as well as options that other classes cant even do (Jewel craft / alchemy / porting / charm killing / top end solo *enc / shm*)

Regardless of class, best way to make plat is to have targets, timers, or to simply have friends and form good powerful small man teams that can wreck stuff worthwhile with just a few people

I had a buddy that rolled wizard and made tons of plat porting people. Never in DaP. Ya just gotta know the best spots to sit (Overthere ramp, EC tunnel) and be quick on the tells

On blue? 15k. People list it at 16k tho but highly doubt anyone pays that much.
