EQ classic PVP attracts a specific kind of player, even if it varies. It takes someone with thicker skin, a willingness to learn and deal with harsher consequences than most games. This is why I think the best Pantheon guild will be comprised mostly of EQ classic PVP legends. So this question is for Empire, or any other guild who felt like they won the box: what are the most important things to be the best PVP guild? I'll start with one of them.

1. A willingness to poopsock. Because someone who plays 24/7 will progress or have an advantage over someone who doesn't, usually. Or someone who simply cares the most about being the best. I wasn't one of them on this server because that kind of motivation left when I sold my TBC character during the glory days of BG9 in Wow. But Pantheon may be different.

So what else do you think? Organization, numbers, knowledgeable and smart leaders, strong focus on raiding and gearing? Serious question even though some troll retards will probably still reply.

Play time will always be the #1 factor, but the box is a small microcosm of what will happen on pantheon. Empire, even if it fields 80 to 100 players may find itself dwarfed in comparison to guilds that will probably field 200+. Also it will majorly depend on how the server is policed. The stuff that we did on the box probably won't fly so the training and grieving and general Douchebag attitude/playstyle might leave you blacklisted and never advancing like it did on VZ/TZ/rallos. Now if they go Sullon Zek style the box crew will reign supreme.

Nihilum was the same way. You are talking about this strategy as if it is bad. If you don't have the competent leader and loyal goons toxic people like Agatha can spread doubt and chaos pretty quick and before you know it the guild is splitting in two.

True, but according to that logic, the real winners are the ones who never play or post here at all, but instead spend their time doing good work and being righteous for the sake of pleasing God because that's the greatest success, God willing. Good responses though. Seems like you need a solid leader then a group of dedicated friends and the strongest willingness to be the best; then some extra warmbodies for numbers. Then the only other factors are the individuals and how good they are on their own.

Thanks, not sarcasm. I like your vids too. Ever since I ran the best High Warlord group during vanilla WoW on Blackrock i've wanted to get another team going but focus on advanced strats including strict formations and coordinating nukes, etc. But not many people care to take it to that level and there hasn't been a good PVP game since dead99. And it just takes way too long to gear up and be viable in EQ (unless you started at the beginning). I may try to do it in Pantheon though.

Seriously though I know but there's no better options. Camelot Unchained looks ok but it doesn't capture that EQ feel like Pantheon does. And they said they'd still have a PVP server. Its too bad there isn't a single dev team in the entire world that can make a "near EQ replica" that would attract new players and revive PVP. Guess its red99 or nothing.

What if everyone just rerolled on blue but agreed to turn in their tomes. Same thing as a wipe right except there's half-NPC bluebies everywhere? Maybe more would join.

no actually brad has explicitly stated that they plan to have at least 1 PvP server on launch and that it would likely be a basic FFA ruleset
