Gnoll Fangs for Iksars

I am tempted to run my Iksar Monk to do the Gnoll Fang method from 5-19 or so. Is it possible from a faction standpoint to be able to turn in Gnoll Fangs before it would be obsolete?

Has anyone tried before? Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

At that level, you'd need wolf form to turn in. Getting non-KoS requires killing several hundred gnolls, which wouldn't be easy at such a low level.

Besides, FoB and Kurns would be much faster to 20...

The answer is yes and maybe. Yes if you want to do a bunch of faction work (or can get a wolf form), maybe if you only want to do a little faction work. Take a look at this quest Brandy Quest (http://wiki.project1999.com/Rohand%27s_Brandy)

I think that might raise faction with Capt. Tillin but not 100% sure but it raises it super fast so easy to test. Also you'll want some invis potions to run around S. Qeynos even after you get corrupt and normal guard factions up as there are a bunch of jerks all on different factions down there.

Also I have successfully done the gnoll fang quest in halas via invis pot and sneak on my monk but did have to FD once so it is risky (the gm across from the turn in mob rushed me). I was doing it for faction so not sure what the exp is like.

Agreed. I've done the gnoll fang thing on two characters and I never feel like I get enough to make it worth it. By the time the gnoll xp starts to slow down, I only have enough fangs to get a couple levels.
