Posting this here because I'm a bit of a newb. But I've been in Oasis / Unrest a few times with no luck finding a group. Any suggestions where it might be easy for me to solo? I'm also open for a duo or joining a group if anyone is interested. :)

#14 on map

Expect this to be camped fairly often. If it is, head north to #4, where there are additional bandits. The Nybright sisters will take you to 19 IIRC. Plus, they drop bronze weapons which sell nicely to the ranger outpost (#10 on map).

That is just one option. For your reading pleasure:

What kind of gear do you have? If you have a Baton of Faith or better, or the 100 plat to buy one, I've got a pretty easy soloing path to 50+, though you'll probably want to group when you can along the way to break up the monotony.

I'm wearing full banded and using a Two Handed Sword I purchased off of a vendor, heh. And also I was in Lesser Fay last night and unfortunately died to the black unicorn Equistrelle? Discouraged me a bit from trying to make it to sisters

Here's what I'd do: If you don't have 100 Plat or so, go farm Willowisps in North Karana until you have a dozen or so Greater Lightstones. Do this quest: http://wiki.project1999.com/Research_Aid and sell the books you get back to Mrysila for the plat. Then /auction in EC until you can get someone to sell you a http://wiki.project1999.com/Baton_of_faith for 100p or so. Or, you can camp http://wiki.project1999.com/Shralok_Pack and sell one of those and buy a staff. The wisps are nice, because that quest will still give you decent exp though.

Camp http://wiki.project1999.com/Guard_G%60Varr until 20 or so. He drops bronze, and there are no brownies to murder you and a zone line 10 feet away to run to with gypsy vendors in the next zone.

At 20-22 go to Ocean of Tears and camp Gargoyles until level 28, make about 2-4k doing vendoring eyes. 28-42, you should have no problem finding groups in Mistmoore, but if you do, you can easily solo Unrest basement for those levels. Somewhere in this range you'd be happy to quest or buy a Ghoulbane.

42-52 You can solo Hill Giants and Sand Giants in between groups, though you could make Lower Guk you home otherwise. 52+ You'll have little trouble finding groups, but can still solo in Lower Guk while LFG.

If you don't have a "magic" 2h sword this is bad advice. Check the top left of the item description before you go fighting wisps. you'll never kill one without a magic weapon ^^

Also Recfek Shralok isn't a pushover to a paladin with low dps. I'd at least try and bring a friend who can nuke or heal you.

This is better advice, but getting around to the Lavastorm zone line wasn't explained. Turn left out of the zone in to Nektulos from EC and follow the wall. Be wary of the water area with pirahnas and any patrolling stone/iron guardians. An invis and sow from someone in EC might be worth asking for!

There's about 3-4 gargoyle spawns iirc. Go too soon and you might die, and you can't bind yourself as a paladin so this isn't something to do alone as the corpse runs will be insane. Just pointing that out, but gargoyles are a good cash camp, 9pp each or so. They do pull in pairs sometimes so a decent dps weapon is something you'd need.

Honestly you're better off in City of Mist. Join a guild that raids, get to 46-50 and see about getting some planar armor (paladin armor usually rots or is in low demand at least). Better plat opportunities come later in Sebilis/Howling Stones etc, farming too much too early will really slow you down.

The usual P99 leveling path, where you'll earn some plat along the way (don't be afraid to loot a bit too often, and take 5-6 bags)

15-21 - Unrest "MR" (main room)
22-28 - Mistmoore pond
28-33 - Mistmoore graveyard
33-41 - Mistmoore castle (castle entrance or courtyard)
41-50ish - City of Mist
51-54ish - Karnor's Castle
54-60 - Sebilis, maybe Howling Stones at 57-58 as a tank.

Grind the levels out. If you find a guild I'm willing to bet they have a useable sword in their guild bank <3

If a level 17 Paladin can't kill a level 13 Recfek with a Worn Great Staff, he's simply not facing the right way.

A 10 plat investment into any magic weapon, or a /tell to a mage for a summoned weapon is enough for a level 17 to kill a green wisp. It's not bad advice, you just don't like me.

You can hang around middle Antonica in that range - Najena, Befallen, Runnyeye, and Highpass are relatively close, but you generally need a group in those places and they aren't very popular (though as a paladin you can lull right? maybe you can single pull some stuff!) - In this area you could probably solo minotaurs in The Gorge of King Xorbb by the Runnyeye entrance or EK entrance. You could also go into Ek and kill blue cons - cats, wolves, lower lvl griffons and such.

Probably not the best advice but I like that region of the game.

You're talking about sending a class that can't bind to OOT to an island where its possible to pull multiple mobs - which is high risk with his current gear. As stated it wasn't all bad advice, but it certainly wasn't good for a new player who's doing it in basic gear.

If I was a new player in this situation I'd want to be well informed at least.

Well, it would be a good learning opportunity. Immersive and classic! :D Too many people take the easier paths but yeah, that is a pretty brutal CR.

OP - If you do it, make sure you have a means to levitate and SoW yourself and/or bring someone along.

It looks like paladins get Lull at level 15, so that should help if mobs can't be pulled single otherwise. Critical fails can make for a bad time though. Not sure about pulling logistics on that island though--been a while.

He's gotta go to OOT to kill green wisps? You are being purposefully dense simply to argue with me.

10 greater lightstones is enough to buy a Baton of Faith, which I mention. A Baton of Faith would destroy the gargoyles in OOT regardless of whatever else he has equipped and with gargoyle eyes he can fill out the rest of his gear.

All of my suggestions came after the suggestion to farm wisps to get the baton.

Quit muddying up this thread because you just want to argue with me.
