I don't watch the Trek, but I really like the new Star Wars movies that are coming out. I feel they have recaptured the spirit.

None.
Just keep the OS, NG and DS9.

Insurrection was arguably the one of the worst. Would have liked First Contact more without the annoying black lady in it. Maybe Generations for the best movie of them all.

I'm more at home with TNG/DS9 myself. A crime I think that DS9 or even Voyager didnt get their own movies.

Spent the last year and a half watching all of TNG on netflix. Unfortunately, the movies aren't on streaming netflix so I started DS9 right after.

Spoiler: When they started talking about the enterprise being destroyed in season 4 i went wtf! The dominion war has just launched by the talshayr and obisidian order attempting a surprise attack on the founder homeworld, only for it to be a trap.

Back when people talked and socialized in person. I hear ya man.

On a different note, Undiscovered Country was pretty good.

First Contact

Yea this was a huge one. Is that the one where Q reveals to Picard that humans are not as evolved past their problems as Picard thinks. or is First Contact the borg movie? Also I believe there is 1 more TNG movie that is highly rated but Its been too many years for me.

TOS movies are shit comparatively. TNG kind of killed TOS on television and the big screen. I don't even think its close.

The thread was about which is the best star trek movie, not which star trek movie was actually a really great film in a vacuum.

Yea there's a lot of stupid things about First Contact, but I challenge you to find a Star Trek movie that isn't even worse about that kind of stuff. It was still a fun movie.

Now that I think about it you're right. First contact reminded me of all the great action and violence that made TNG so great.

Yep, hate to say it but Rodders was holding the series back (series 1-2 is a good example of the bad era)...TNG improved with every season.

Nerds are so tight about the TNG movies but really in the scope of Star Trek, its as good as it gets. TNG had the best show, and the best movies.

Watch RedLetterMedia suck off JarJar Abrams the hack shit director in 2009's CGI pukefest. Those guys are fucking hacks. They pick something to hate on and go with it. Its not real criticism. Its critic entertainment for the moronic know-nothing masses.
