Seafury Cyclops does not speak when they Catch a Thief

I am not sure if this is working as intended. Yes, they will turn around and try to kill you. No they do not say anything.

Cyclops are classified as giants, which means they cannot have their pockets picked on P99. It's been alleged that this is not classic - that rogues should be able to pick a giant's pockets - but I don't think there's been enough evidence submitted to convince the devs of this.

As I understand it, any mob type can "catch" you picking their pockets, even if their pockets are unpickable (or if they simply lack pockets altogether) due to their level or classification, but only humanoids will respond with a "Stop Thief!" message.

Also, a side note: I'm not sure if this has changed since Velious beta, but for some reason Velious giants are actually classified as humanoids, which means they can have their pockets picked if they're of the appropriate level range.

And you can also pick pocket giants on p99 Blue as well.

I've been pickpocketing giants on Borgnach since about August of last year. Maybe this has all been a bug??

As for the "Stop Thief!" messages - you'll need to find some examples from live EQ for developers to make the change. I am going to agree with you that they should say this, since the message is intended to alert other players of pick-pocketing rogues so they can't steal loot with impunity.

It may be working as intended, since the giant and humanoids are both pick pocketable, but only humanoids have the response...
