Just started getting everything set up and finished the install with the directions provided and I'm getting the "Windows cannot find 'eqgame' error

you're starting the command prompt in the C:\Windows\system32 directory, since the EQGame.exe file doesn't reside there it doesn't know how to find it.

I assume you're using the "Launch Titanium.bat" file? if so you'll want to edit it from the default of:

start eqgame patchme

to:
start c:\<whateveryourdirectorypathis>\eqgame.exe patchme

what error message do you receive when you attempt to right click "launch titanium.bat" and select edit?

I went ahead and changed the properties of the shortcut and was able to log in finally.

Just built a new computer and trying to complete this install as well. When I double click the Launch Titanium.bat file I get a "Memory could not be read" error. If I run it as admin I get the same as the people above.

When I complete the steps that you outlined above I get "Please delete Wsock32.dll and eqgame.dll from you everquest titanium directory" error.

As far as I can tell, those files do not exist.

Please help :)

EDIT - Was able to login by changing the resolution to something unplayable, but now the characters are invis (except their weapons) and the world is a gray and undefined. Seems to be some sort of resolution issue, but be damned if I can figure out what...

Same problem as Badpenny, with the invisible characters. Has anyone resolved this?

Also having this problem. (Didn't have this problem when I created my p1999 account years ago.)

Will try Ashintar's advice and report back. (Seems very self explanatory, but minibus <--is noob)

Alright, so Ashintar's advice works and is really easy. If you're having problems with your eqgame file, try this.

If you're using the "launch titanium.bat" file to start your game (or a shortcut to that file) right click and edit it (or open it in notepad) and change the text to what Ashintar stated.

tried this and now I get the error message
"please delete winsock 32 and eqgame.dlll from your titanium directory" neither files appear to be in the directory at all though

I just want to add with these things you are always better off NOT installing to System32 or whatever. Make your own P1999 directory somewhere on the drive not in any system or windows folder and install to that. Windows treats the default directories as special, so you wind up having permissions issues when you want to edit files.

C:\Users\corym\Desktop\P99 Green is my directory, I edited the file but still not working for me. I'm trying to set up for p99 green

Well, some of us aren't able to edit the Launch Titanium bat file, like myself. Says I require admin and I can't change it to admin. If I try to bypass the batch file and just launch eqgame.exe ( since eqgame.exe patchme doesn't exist ) it simply says, "Please run EverQuest.exe"

Ok, I've done a clean install into a completely separate folder on my C: drive called P99 Green. Then I went through all these steps, but I for the life of me can not find any such file called eqgame.exe patchme. The only file in the folder is just eqgame.exe, so what is this patchme?

Yep, nothing I do will launch the game now. Editing Launch Titanium does nothing. Bypassing it and clicking on eqgame.exe directly does nothing. This is rather funny as I was literally just playing a few hours ago and now I can't play on any of the servers.

I am having the same issue. Edited the launchtitanium.bat file to the correct path. But now nothing happens when I click it.

Added a pause on the next line after the start path and for some reason that made it work.
