The latest patch contains new required files. Download and extract the Project 1999 Files (V45) (http://www.project1999.com/files/P99Files45.zip) to your EQ Titanium Directory.
Code
Haynar: Fixed an issue where the lazy aggro changes caused mobs that call for help (like Tunare) to not function correctly.
Haynar: Fixed an issue with transport spells cast in same zone as their destination, which caused them to behave incorrectly like a succor/evac.
Haynar: The summon companion line of spells will no longer work on charmed pets.
Haynar: Summon companion spells will no longer work on pets which are engaged.
Haynar: Fixed an issue with rune spells cast from items, that would cause the rune to absorb way more damage than intended in some cases.
Haynar: Fleeing mobs that are rooted will now face their target.
Haynar: Fear will now be more reliable on players that are levitated.
Haynar: Cancel magic spell line changed to a more accurate model with the appropriate functionality of the classic timeline.
Haynar: Added support for Taper Enchantment spell.
Haynar: Translocate spells with a confirmation dialog, will no longer work on the caster.
Haynar: Call of the hero will now cause the target to lose their pet.
Haynar: Fixed an issue which would cause sneak to get out of sync between the server and client.
Haynar: If bound in certain velious dungeons, the bind location will be updated to ecommons, when logging in to character select.

Nilbog: Targin the Rock now has a proper depop/repop system. Corrected his faction and aggro message.
Nilbog: Removed haste component from the following spells: Seething Fury, Swift Spirit, and Blessing of the Grove. Added haste to the following items: Ragebringer, Swiftwind, Tolan's Longsword of the Glade. This should resolve the issue of these worn haste effects not properly affecting cooldowns.
Nilbog: Spined Seahorse Hide Breastplate no longer has a visual texture.
Nilbog: Modified faction 'TheDead': Human Priests of Innoruuk will no longer be KOS to TheDead, preventing them from completing their Symbol quests. Thanks to Aalderon for this information.
Nilbog: batlings in warrens are now green aggro and aggressive.
Nilbog: Svunsa, Lisv D`Unnar, and Nyuae the Cruel are now primary faction TheDead.
Nilbog: named Sisters of Erollisi factions corrected.
Nilbog: [Aug 2001] Ancient Blade drops 100% of the time.
Nilbog: Repaired recharge combine for Gnomish Vanishing Device.
Nilbog: Updated faction for Aglthin Dasmore and 'Heretic Battle' quest.
Nilbog: Corrected Captain Bvellos' existing quests and added a missing one. (kindly or better for 'proof' quests)
Nilbog: Rewrote Stanos Herkanor's aggro/engagement script. This should resolve issues of related npcs not properly resetting.
Nilbog: Updated faction for Stanos, Anson, Renux, smugglers and various npcs of highpass.
Nilbog: Updated faction hits for Sir Lucan D'Lere (living and undead).
Nilbog: Several npcs are now immune to changes in run speed.

Telin: A few Guards in Butcherblock Mountains have changed their posts and will now have above average magic resistance. Guard Mandin now spawns again.
Telin: Added multiquest ability to the Bug Collection quest in Misty Thicket and The Painting quest in East Freeport.
Telin: Deputy Eigon and Poolt in Misty Thicket now share the same post.
Telin: Driver Bryggin now only spawns when Cargo Clockwork is killed.
Telin: The Freeport Militia now patrol more areas of East Freeport.
Telin: Removed non-classic fletching vendors from North Freeport.
Telin: Added kite shields to the Freeport Militia.
Telin: Guard Brendyl now patrols more of the path in North Ro.

Also, lmao at all the people that bought up t-staff's and jacked up the price. Final patch any day now I'm sure! Probably 6+ months out after this.

Wow what a fantastic patch!
No more ToV binds, no more CoTHs with pets parked and pulls, no more self TL boxing wizards, no more summoning charmed pets across zones, no more picking your loot on Tunare, Yelinak having proper number of loots, Tunare event working properly.
This is incredible work.

Id say this is a bug fix with some "minor" updates just noting some of the dates listed, like May 2001, etc updates next to some updates. Great work on fixing bind location in "raid zones," that's something that's been LONG over due (since Kunark!). No more randomness TL box pulls. Maybe we will be able to slug through the zone as intended? Id still like to know what the "[PVP]" means? Just PVP server or those zones listed have been PVP enabled for blue server?

I saw the ToV binds moved to EC, but didn't notice mention of 'fixed so you can no longer bind in Velious dungeons'. Hopefully that is what is implied and will now be live.
Hopefully they remove the non-classic Flurry Drakes to make ToV crawling a more viable solution!! Although I'm not knowledgeable enough with leash + no TL to ToV binds if that nerfs zone line pulls already?? I certainly hope so. I hope there isn't some lame corpse rez train mechanic to get the agro to reach zone in.
I'm also curious about the cancel magic change to be more classic, I always heard in classic NPCs didn't dispel as often as they do on P99. Wonder if that is the fix? Maybe adjusted in the NPC's spell line up and cooldowns added?

Don't take this the wrong way because all the effort is appreciated, but I wonder how some of these things get prioritized over hybrid defense bug which is by far the most responded to active bug?

Don't take this the wrong way because all the effort is appreciated, but I wonder how some of these things get prioritized over hybrid defense bug which is by far the most responded to active bug?
because it's some volunteers coding for fun and the only stuff that gets fixed is stuff that is easy, fun, or has hidden incentive for the devs.

I hope. It's their favorite spell to spam. Also amusing how a level 12 orc priest can dispel a level 60 sorcerer.

Looking at the rest of the patch, I'm guessing it's a nerf to PC cancel magic not NPC. Doesn't seem like a "make things easier" patch, and Haynarr did say he was warming up his nerf bat.

So does this fix the issue of sneak pulling being removed from the game totally for all classes with sneak a patch or two ago? The fix for the monk memblur was needed as that wasn't classic or intended im guessing. But Sneak pulling in the normal sense hasn't worked at all for any class since the 'fix' was implemented for the memblur aspect that monks were seeing.

Need more information about this. The change was for items which had worn spell effects that included haste.

There were no*ground*spawns in wakening for yew leaves.

Getting the spells outdated error on char select screen after maintenance period. I tried to redownload the v44 files but the link on the getting started page seems down. Whitelisted the Sony file via windows defender. Tried restarting pc as well. What else can I do?

This patch feels like a double kick in the balls for me. I play a mage who has managed to get my char to 52. Knowing I am not going to have time to raid in order to loot my Earth Staff, I had planned on very slowly grinding my way to the 500k MQ, and you guessed it, I was planning on doing this at Seafuries... ouch.
Not mad at the staff though, appreciate their hard work to keep improving the server.

Tunare Here: should be 3-5 loots from HER UNQIUE Table + 1-3 BPs from the zone minis + up to 7 spells she was the original loot pinata

3 loots per kill, with a super rare chance at a 4th, 24 items split into 3 lists of 8, one from each list, and a rare chance of a 4th that is a random of any item.

This patch feels like a double kick in the balls for me. I play a mage who has managed to get my char to 52. Knowing I am not going to have time to raid in order to loot my Earth Staff, I had planned on very slowly grinding my way to the 500k MQ, and you guessed it, I was planning on doing this at Seafuries... ouch.
Not mad at the staff though, appreciate their hard work to keep improving the server.
eh, not necessarily. It would CERTAINLY take you longer to grind 500k, versus joining a guild, doing some raids here and there, getting dkp, and going up to hate while mob is up.

With a new baby around the house, I am only able to log in for an hour or so a few nights a week. I was always under the impression raids would require a longer time commitment and attentiveness than a baby would allow. Could be my misconception though.

Arctic wyverns in CS would probably yield more plat than seafuries even pre-nerf. Seafuries were overcamped

At least twice recently my sneaking/hiding rogue was seen by mobs in Sebilis. Was this the cause? Everyone was telling me I must have forgotten, but I definitely saw the success messages for both in my logs.

It was for using vendors, where people found how to keep sneak active, yet button would pop. They could then sneak at full speed. It will not affect any other use of sneak, as the trigger only hits when client requests inventory list from the merchants.

Did you check you also stopped this happening with bankers? Could accomplish some seriously speedy sneaking in Overthere!

First thank you developers for investing time into making this a great server, We all want this to be as close to a replication of the game we had in our teenage years.I agree that the changes made today are classic but with that being said I must bring up the clear bias(?) when it comes to making certain classic changes to this server.
For example,
If bound in certain velious dungeons, the bind location will be updated to ecommons, when logging in to character select.
Why make this change(along with the previous leashing change) that clearly will affect the raid scene and how pulls are done while ignoring this thread for 2 Years that shows clear evidence that more safe spots should be available to help guilds not stack up on top of each other.http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=205328.

Sorry I don't believe you when you say this like you are not aware of the 1 year old thread in your forum space with clear evidence for change. Anyway I understand that Higher-ups sometimes shut down classic mechanics,loot table changes ect but there is no reason to let these threads go years without a single post saying "Sorry bro we won't do that" or "Sorry we can not code that in".

Enchanter charming definitely seems to have a soft nerf at the moment. Mobs seem MUCH more likely to break within the first minute after the first recharm.
If this was unintended, or if it more accurately portrays classic, I have no problem with that.
But if it was done on purpose for balancing purposes.. that would kinda stink. Enchanters already usually die first in a group, and it's not exactly easy to play an enchanter who charms pets. I know that in certain circumstances, enchanters can be ENTIRELY too OP. But there aren't that many players that have the skill to be able to do high end stuff without dying constantly.
Just my 2 cents though, thank you so much for the update guys! It's always much appreciated!

Search the forum for SAVOK.....download the DEFAULT UI from his post. Replace your UI folder with it. Relaunch.....there are some sweet adjustments/mods in his post you can incorporate.

Wind of the north and wind of the south are supposed to be considered evac as well.
If you want to correct something, make the evac/succor line have a chance of leaving someone behind as it was in classic. 50% of the time an evac spell would leave behind at least 1 person from a full group.

Not in my experience. I've never been seen in Seb and I've done countless corpse retrievals from all corners of that zone.

What exactly happened to cancel magic? I can't dispel damage shields anymore with it. A goblin boneslaver in droga was kicking the ass of my 56 necro because of it.

I know I've left people behind when doing SG succors. It happened before, but infrequently at best. 50% would be annoying and also kind of funny when used in real succor/evac situations.

10% chance to be left behind for any player means close to 50% that one person out of the full group gets left behind.

At 0.5% per person, thats 3% someone is left behind. I made it annoying. But not too often. I lacked solid numbers on an actual fail rate. So I totally guessed.
The general rule, if people complain too much, its probably too high. If they never complain, likely too low.

To be clear I'm not endorsing the 10% view. I played back then but I honestly don't remember what the left behind percentage was like. It never stuck out to me as much of an issue. The first time I had it happen here it was like "oh yeah that could happen." NFI if the single char % should be 1% or 10%.

Thanks for the advice. I wasn't able to download the default UI file from the link (it might be expired?!) so I just went ahead and reinstalled the entire game, so issue resolved.
After repeated downloads and extractions I keep getting a error saying my spell files are out of date.
I checked the main directory and Resources and all the spell related files have a new date so I am confused.

Maybe you already know, but there are a couple of things I wasn't sure you were aware of that I thought you might want to hear. Nothing big. In a few zones since the v45 update, the daytime sky is black where is was not before. And, on a few quests, the npc dialogue doesn't come after saying the magic words to them. The hand-ins still work without going thru the dialogue tho. When the magic words are said, the npc will still jerk his body towards you like he hears you, he just doesn't reply with his scripted lines. It happened a few times, but I was just exploring around Qeynos and some other places near there. I'm sure it would be more helpful if I could remember which npcs they were. Sorry about that. It was several of them just while I was messing around. I should've written it down, I suppose. :/

These may or may not get noticed here. If you want to be sure that they get seen by the developers you should post them in the bugs section (http://www.project1999.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=6) of the forum (and I'm sure they'd appreciate it if you made a separate post for each issue).

Although I dont concur with the wording of this, I do endorse the fact that druids now have half of their port spells. The way this was stated in patch notes, one would assume these spells would still function the same way as they previously did (as they are actual evac/succor spells) instead they have the exact same functionality as the circle spells with half the cast time. Not even a load screen to reset aggro.
Appreciate all the hard work going into the development of P99. Just wanted to leave some feedback regarding the patch and the negative impact it has made.

Yes, but it was hoped (by Haynar himself) that bind wound caps, ranger skills, etc would be fixed by this patch too:
Any word if this fix will also address bind wound, ranger dodge/parry and other 'some times red, sometimes white' skill cap bugs?
Should affect those too.
Hopefully it will get hotfixed this week with the bugfix for world tradeskill containers.

Chanter charm does appear to break more often now on tashed mobs. 190 charisma and the gators I was previously chain charming with no issue are now much more likely to break. Fleeing gators are now heading right for the 10 of its chums in the underwater area in cazic-thule, which makes life interesting; that may just be bad luck today. Going to test more with the Gate button ready to wack.
Root is also breaking much more now.

Nilbog: Removed haste component from the following spells: Seething Fury, Swift Spirit, and Blessing of the Grove. Added haste to the following items: Ragebringer, Swiftwind, Tolan's Longsword of the Glade. This should resolve the issue of these worn haste effects not properly affecting cooldowns.
Does this mean that having Swiftwind equipped in Offhand now affects the haste of held bows? I know that before Rangers received no haste benefit while firing arrows from "Swift Spirit" and required another worn haste to increase bow attack speed.
I'd be real happy if Swiftwind gave me 40% faster bowshots now.

Forget about Quivers. Think of bows as a basic "ranged attack" like shurikens or spears.
Ranged attack cooldown is affected by worn haste items like FBSS and such, but the haste granted by 'Swift Spirit' affected melee swings and nothing else. I'm wondering if the change to Swiftwind's haste now means I enjoy a 40% cooldown reduction for range attacks, kicks, etc.
I'm confident I'd notice the difference (if existent) had I been playing regularly, but it's been weeks since Curunol was in action and I have little point of reference in memory.

Didn't even think of unequiping my Swiftwind. I think it might literally have rusted into my offhand at this point and is unremovable.
Tested and confirmed though, both arrows and kicks are flying faster than usual. Didn't even need to parse the log, it was like night and day.

Was Bind Wound skill cap mod changed in any way? I have kept my high 40s rogue capped for the level and had around 170 skill and could skill up 5 each level. Now the skill seems to be stuck at 100 with red text?

This bug predates the skill cap patch (and was hoped to be fixed by it)... I have also heard reports from some knights that the skill cap patch also didn't completely fix the defence issues that prompted the patch.

Mobs no longer automatically face a PC in melee range when only pets are in melee. Was this an intentional change?
Mobs are still turning to face me the second I get into melee range even if pet has been beating on them for a while.

This is local to Velketors for now as I haven't had time to play anywhere else. When playing with another player im used to a mob focusing on a PC instead of the charmed pet. What I am seeing is that normal agro rules are in effect. The other player has to build enough hate to take the focus away from the charmed pet. If my pet is the one being attacked the mob will turn towards me if not it will ignore me and attack the other PC. Just seems off?
Ah interesting, I guess I should add my experience is strictly from a solo perspective and mostly in HS.
I could swear I remember reading a post from Nilbog acknowledging that p99 pet aggro was broken, but just spent like 5 minutes looking for it and couldn't find it. Maybe something was changed but seems it would've been in the patch notes.
Edit: found the post, 3 years old though.
Will always choose to err on the side of underpowered rather than overpowered. Safest way to proceed until things are perfect, or near perfect.
Can blame me. But, I'd like pets to work properly. I played a magician for years, and I agree the aggro is not correct.

I'm extremely triggered by people admitting they are wrong on the internet. It goes against all established netiquette.
Fix sneak pulling, it shouldn't aggro other mobs of same faction or not if facing sideways or back towards you.
Also fd should have a higher chance for mobs to forget you, out of 25 fds the mob forgot me twice

Had anyone had issues with the new patch? I d/l to the folder and extracted it but I still get the "Your spell list is out of date" type message at the character screen :/.
