Hidy Ho and Howdy Do!
Everquest was the first graphical MMORPG I played. I grew up using the text based library computers to play MUDs before moving into a place where I had internet at home. I ended up swapping from EQ to Ultima Online since I was aware of private UO servers at the time, and couldn't afford the subscription to EQ.
Anyhow, I was very excited to stumble upon a p1999 youtube video - to see there was an active community still playing the game.
I won't probably recall much (other than some tunnel near the dark elf starting zone?) and some random tidbits here and there. Are there third party applications that folks would recommend? I saw something about map packs, for example.
I am interested in finding a community to play with, so any recommendations there would be welcomed.
