Well, I finally did it... I'm sitting on Kerafyrm's platform at the moment, with no gate potion, wondering how to get out... Anyone know a way up from here apart from /petition or getting my dead corpse summoned to the ZI?

Used to be able to jump in the water, /q out, then come back at the zone in. It has been a long time since I have been down there, so I am not sure if that still works. Worth a try though.

All I can say is thanks a ton! I can now confirm this trick does work still! :D

Btw, that's not a ST thing btw. Thats a game engine "thing" thats been around since the first orc in Crushbone bit it.

Basically /q (read = going linkdead) in a hazardous environment (Water/Lava) will cause the game to move you to a safespot when you log back in. That how we used to get out of the lava in Sol A.

Obviously the above evidence is out of date, but the last guy suggests that it was always that way.

Mayhaps those stronger versed in wayback-fu could dig up more solid evidence.
