Spell gems like EQ live, help plz

Ok the novelty of old spell icons has officially worn off, and now I'm getting sick to death of playing my chanter and having 6 spell gems on my caster bar that all have the same picture but do different things. ive gone over the various spell gems from the post found here...http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11949

However none of them are quite right. Is there any way to get the spell gems from current EQ live? or can someone recommend spell gems that make more sense.

I'm confused, these UI mods were posted right on the p99 website. they've been there for YEARS, their even stickied, if their illegal why are they there?

Changing UI's, which spell icons are a part of, is 100% not against the rules. Not sure why it would be suggested that it is. Look at screenshots posted here, a lot of people use modified UI's.


Download DuxaUI (https://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28335) from here on the forums, run the all in one installer, it has an option for Luclin era spell icons and it also has the option of original spell icons with their names beside them, as seen in this pic http://imgur.com/0W1gm0e. Super easy to use, and the rest of the UI is great as well.

Don't listen to the trolls. You can do whatever you want to the UI as its is client side - you could have all of the icons showing pictures of POTUS if you wanted to. As for changing the spell icons to match Live I'm afraid you are out of luck. Classic EQ (pre-Luclin) only had 23 spell icons to choose from, hence why you have the same icons for different spells. This is serverside and not changeable.

Google "duxa installer", from there you can do things like change your login screen picture and spell gems etc

Leewong's UI thread has a section for Spellbar with Names as a separate file. You dont even need to use anything else in this UI. Just download the spellbar file and place it in your EQ\uifiles\default directory. Might want to rename/save the old one just in case.
