Any other Aussie players had dramas the last few nights getting in?

Home Telstra cable sucks balls. I either get timeouts on server select, outdated spell files and then no toon at char select. The other thing is I select a char, get to 100% loading and then nothing.

I tried it from work too with AAPT 400mbps fiber link and I get the same deal.

It's mighty frustrating when needing to zone or switch toons. Pings are fairly regular when I do get in, anywhere between 300-350.

If you are experiencing time outs, you need to check your router for drop bears.

Try doing a ping to project1999.com to see what route it takes/where the latency happens and possibly using a custom DNS?

Jimjam, It's the connection to login.eqemulator.net, not project1999.com - I tried following earlier thread advice and changing it to login2.eqemulator.net, however they both resolve to the same IP, so bugger all changed.

In the day (for us), it's golden, just when it hits around 7pm-8pm AEST it starts to suck balls.

And yeah, pastunburied, I zoned in once to GD during a ring war, promptly desynched =)

Can't get in at all tonight. Either timeout occurred or error when joining.

edit: Anyone have any ideas what to look for in wireshark to try and diagnose the issue?
