Hey folks, my RL names is Dave and I am thrilled as heck to be here. How I missed this for all those years saying, man... wouldn't it be great to have a game like the original EQ? Back in 99 trying to get from Freeport to Kelethin.... CR's in BB, or a poor buddy of mine trying to get across the Karanas from Halas. Anyways, look forward to seeing you in game.

I know a little about the knight classes, and recall at the beginning there were a lot both.

Did people move on from playing them as main, or do they provide some specific utility that more of them are needed?

Their 90% rez is nice to have if you don't have a cleric. But that's a hell of an investment just for a 90% rez.

Divine Strength, the lvl 60 hp buff is considered an important raid buff.

I don't mean more are needed in any specific sense. The game is more than just level 60 raiding. I have an army of alts at every level range and there is an absolute dearth of knight classes leveling and they are exceptional grouping tanks. I spent so much of my time with my (admittedly fungi twinked) cleric from level 20-40 pulling and tanking in Mistmoore because there wasn't a tank to be found.
