I can't adjust my gamma settings. it's stuck at 20%. i'm playing on a mac, through wineskin. windowed mode (it's the only way that works). Moving the gamma slider around in the options window doesn't do anything.
i tried editing the eqclient.ini file manually. changed gamma to different numbers and saved the file. restarted eq. it defaults right back to the 20% gamma.
any one have any suggestions?

Are you using f.lux?
Or apples "night mode"? (Is this even on OS X yet?)
If so, disable them

I play on a Mac via Winskin and ran into this as well. I found a gamma in system preferences I think, but that changed it for everything on the computer, not just EQ, so I scrapped that idea. Now I just embrace the darkness and use Ultravision or Glowing Stone Bands.

Wasn't there a wineskin setting that impacted gamma as well? 90% sure someone posted about it years ago and figured out a fix somewhere

I think it was the extra gamma option:

Look into that

YAY That fixed it!!
i right clicked my Wineskin icon for the EQ client.
Show Package Contents.
double click to open Wineskin
Click Set Screen Options
Adjust Extra Gamma Correction slider! (each time i changed the slider location, the screen flashed to demonstrate what the gamma change would look like. pretty neat!)
click done.
launch EQ like normal! works great!! I can see at night now!!!
