Hey everyone,
I'm wondering what would be the best bang for my buck as far as outfitting a shaman alt? I have a budget of around 5k. Thanks for any advice you can offer!

The most useful thing for my shaman was a good weapon and HP + AC items. I went for a Poison Wind Censer, the 5ac 55hp rings, and whatever high ac items I could find cheap. Go to the shaman equipment page on the wiki and sort by HP and see what you can afford. There are loads of really cheap high AC items out there.

Slow tanking with a weapon like the PWC will get you through the early levels until your dots get good and you get your pet. By that time you can root rot. I found slow tanking to be inefficient because mobs hit a lot harder.

You can pretty much ignore wis. When you're cannibalizing all the time your max mana isn't as important as having a bigger HP pool.

HP gear + FBSS + Poison Wind Censor will be nice 20-30 before you get some good spells, then you can sell FBSS again and buy some more hp/mana gear

imo the haste gloves beat out fbss, can get a belt with good tanky stats like a spider fur belt for not too much.

Which are the haste gloves? Also how much is the fbss/haste gloves going for? Want to make sure I can fit it all in the budget. Thanks for all the answers!

like the above said about 2k for gloves, 4k for belt.

gloves have a smidge of AC and resists, belt is just haste.
