Newish player.. saying hi :)

Been playing on live and the lack of grouping and the boxers have made me quit :( Have started up a wizard here. I love mage on live, but i believe mages on old EQ weren't that great til epic pet.. may be wrong, been a long time:)

Just wanted to introduce myself.. and if anyone has some tips please feel free to msg me :)

P.S. i have played here a few times in the past. but nothing past like lvl 8.. gonna try to hang on a bit more now..

P.P.S. i used to love being a warrior tank way back.. are tanks in demand? trying to avoid all day LFG.. and sk or warrior (can't be a pally)

In my experience here, tanks are in demand and wizards are ignored.

if you have any want to be a warrior be one. i see less tanks then healers all the time. once i get my shammy up to the 45-50 mark my goal will to be twink tanks just so there are more of them around!

check out the p99 wiki on warriors a lot of great information there.

Actually ended up making a Ogre SK. and so far it's been more fun than the wiz. but only lvl 3.. soo. yeah.. met alot of nice people though. :)

i would advise a pally over an SK but if your having fun you can use plate your going to get groups.

If i am around there ill try and stop by and buff ya up

BTW.. anyone recommend a zone i can goto? i hate innothule honestly..

If you don't mind your faction with the dark elf warrior guild being ruined, you can go to Gfay and kill orcs. You can also run to EC area and kill various creatures there, or you can see if a porter will run you to FoB / Kurns where you'll be good until you're 20.

Yeah.. FOB/kurns is amazing.. ill try to find a port/bind later tonight if i can.. would hate to get a port.. die and my body be on the other side of the world.. i forgot how stressful getting a body back is..

You can bind affinity by the elf outside Kaesora! Ask nicely and the porter may do it for you��.

And yes innothule is a rough ass starting zone. But your swimming will be high by the time you leave.

Ahh i didn't know that. yeah i'mk going to try to get to EC (dreading crossing oasis) and get a port there asap. almost to 10 now. And my swimming only got to 3.. i HATE innothule so much :) ended up doing tree snakes in sro..

That will give you a list of people in the guild Dial A Port that are currently open for business. They can pick you up in sro no need to traverse the oasis. Unless you are headed to EC to xp that is.

Made the run to EC last night.. only 2 zones but felt like forever and dangerous, which i missed playing on live:) Going to probably kill around nro today. I love kurns. but it's just too far from well.. everything :)

So.. made 16 and a nice person this morning ported me to kurns.. which at noon had like 15 people but was still enough mobs to play. so yeah! Come home from work with a hour to kill and the zone is empty cept 5 people due to a druid powerleveling 2 lazy players and leaving zero mobs on the bottom 2 floors :( Soo... seems kurns will be out. Anyone have a good spot for a 16 ogre SK that isn't kurns?

P.S. sorry if that sounds pissy.. but i get about a hour to play at night and that pretty much ended that. so. off to read a book:) have a good night guys.

Dang sorry to hear that. I took an iksar through there level 12-20 no problems. My play times are kind of erratic though.

P.S. been looking for a new place to lvl (17 now) went to oasis and screw that place.. spent 2 hours in a full group pulling deepwaters almost non stop and got 15% of a lvl. in kurns alone that would have been over 50%.. gonna try to find a port and bind back to kurns today.

Nope.. was killing wisps.. good money:) broke again though :( werewolf got me twice.. i figured i would leave my corpses there in case of a wandering rezer.
