What would be the best class to add to a shadow knight, shaman and rogue for dungeons? We may on occasion add people to our group as well, but mostly just us 4.

a good enchanter/bard, or another priest class (ports w/ druid)

The best is obviously an Enchanter.

CC / Clarity / Better Haste / Charm pet that does more dps than rogue

Do any of these:

Enchanter, bard, necromancer, druid, cleric

Sound interesting to you?

Enchanter or bard would be my picks for "best" seeing as the only thing you could be said to be completely lacking is hard CC. A bard can CC as well as an enchanter for the vast majority of situations when a regular group needs it and can also add charm DPS, and could be a nice bonus to have as a puller. The same character pulling and tanking slows kills down a lot when you're not being challenged by every fight.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Enchanter, Bard or a 2nd healer what I was thinking as well. Would 2 Shamans be horrible in this group?

A cleric would go a lot further than an extra shaman. Necromancer at higher levels also would make this a great group. Chanter seems pretty obvious though

If you want to go with a second healer, I would say cleric as well. Cleric + shaman buffs are awesome, and then the shaman can focus on slowing/DPSing/buffing and just be on backup heals.

Either an enchanter or bard, though, will add enough to the shaman and SK's mana regen (and hp, in the case of the bard) that it should make keeping up with heals much easier.

If you define best as what will allow you to get the most exp per hour, and what will let you do the hardest camps at the earliest possible level, then there is only one answer: Enchanter.

If your 4th is capable of playing Bard to the highest level then Bard is a strong second.

Notable 3rd options would be Necro, Mage, Monk, Cleric.

But go enc.

Cleric to rez

Add cleric with thurg legs.

Adds more mana regen to the shaman than clarity.

This sounds like you're suggesting a cleric just to stand there and spam a 12 second 100 point clicky heal...which would be ridiculous...

Bard does click click click win but 4 times faster!

You got the rogue, so your deeps will be alright, so with chanter the added pet isnt that special, but still the added pet would be good... I would think maybe I would prefer a cleric over chanter in this makeup, becuse being able to rez would be excelent, and also yea, you have the rogue.

You would have an excelent group with the chanter, but I think some of the stuff the chanter/shaman does overwrites eachother. I know at end game, grouping, a chanter with a shaman in the group tends to feel a little worthless, imo... but the clierc, would come in handy in all sorts of occasions, and can even wear charisma gear to help lull/split camps.

The shaman will get more and more powerful as you level up, but once you get to around 60 if you're doing some content at the bottom of a dungeon or some boss, youll want a cleric.

Just saw this post and feel more confident cleric is the way to go

Add cleric with thurg legs.

Adds more mana regen to the shaman than clarity.

Allows you to kill harder mobs.

Would be less overall XP per hour than adding enc+charm pet, however allows AFK's, linkdeads, and redundancy to the group.

It's always easy to find PuG DPS too.

Enchanter will function better as CC and handle hastes taking the burden off the shaman. Charm dps is legit but could be risky with just shaman healing. Globally ench is probably the best.

Bard makes a close second. Cc is manageable but the real benefit is pulling with lull. Regen double stacked to group on top of regrowth makes shamans job a whole lot easier. Mana song. Personally dps is not good though.

3rd best hands down necro. Capable dps without charm. Good dps with charm. Rez, heals, ghetto mez, root cc. Great synergy with shaman.

All 3 of these classes bring a lot to the table while at the same time providing a solid group foundation that is easy to build and expand on with random players to fill out spots 5 and 6.
