I want to try Red

I want to try red but I am concerned about monopolies. Monopolies as in the server has an established hierarchy that keeps people down unless you suck up to them tremendously. Is there anything preventing this or a culture with red that I do not understand?

If you play a lot you get loot. If you don't you get it casually.

That's endgame, 1-60 can be really difficult solo because of population. i can speak for my side and tell you there's exp groups in our guild because we make alts often. I'd recommend asking for starter hand outs, and make a wizard or a druid alt. Just for solo basic farming.

I'd recommend you to sanctuary , but after infiltrating a couple groups. I'm sure that the leader is gate keeping players to trap them into playing with said person. So I'd say go ragnarok or apex, whoever rubs you the wrong way just join the opposition to them. (Not srs)

I wouldn't be concerned with a monopoly so much as the toxic community that used to live here.... probably still does.
In addition to that good luck with ever getting assistance. I just got a reply to a petition I made over a year ago (thanks to the pal that did reply by the way)

Nah, everyone is a regular everquest player over therer wither you like to admit it or not, if you see toxic behavior on red, you're just looking for it, its all over blue as well.

The biggest problem is, I'll bet you 10 plat this is what players think when they think about moving to red "is red going to get wiped eventually? idk, probably... Im going to stick with blue because I dont want to invest all this time into something that is going to get thrown away."

Short answer is yes. There are good and bad people on both servers. Just red pop is super low. The zones feel empty there isn't anyone to pvp until late levels. It's a lot of ones and twos encounters. Usually the encounter is with a vet with better gear too. Very hard for someone to come here and have a good experience.

No way am I wiggling in a server with less than 90 peters on Memorial Day. Yeah I know chill out spend time with family but how come server rises to 129 on some days. Smells too much like boxes and raids. Will wait for discord or teams :(

Positive review: At first everything was great. Exp boost, random buffs from people, even got to join a guild and got some starter help. Sweet deal!

I was pretty immersed but didn't realize how attached I was until the butthurt started. People are so sensitive on that server it kinda messes with your head. I won't be going back. Thanks for the posts!

U gotta suck up to unemployed grown up losers. I'd recommend avoiding this 50 pop/monopoly server. It doesn't even have dev or csr support other than the random, uninformed suspension based on someone's petition aka "I don't like this person please punish them for X"
