Goblins in Lake Rathe(2798, 162, -370), deepwater goblins, were able to attack me underwater and out of water while rooted from about 150-200 range, while they are supposed to be melee. Is that normal?

They come equip with bows. Same as goblins in oasis.

not sure if it was just bow, but i was being pushed too far away to the point of not being able to cast, and the mob was pretty far away, super magic bow with knockbacks?
ps: but well if its normal, ok nevermind then.

Underwater/swimming push really sucks. Use levitate to (partially) compensate, and if you have a pet you could probably soak bow shots with it. (If NPCs must use collision/LOS to bow...I know PCs do.)

Is this definitely a bow? Monsters can double attack and kick/bash with a bow from ~75% max spell cast range?
It makes the Tainted Aquagoblin an absolute pain in the ass to farm because they can melee you from an absurd distance pushing you all around in the water.
This comes off very bugged to me, it looks more like the game is saying "Hey this guy has a weapon, it says it's range is like 100, so that's what he attacks at." Not to mention, they don't drop bows, is this a unique case in which a monster has a weapon it does not drop?
Having a ranged weapon shouldn't just mean they get to auto-attack at that distance, it should be separate from their auto-attack just like all of their other abilities.

It's always been like that down there. I've farmed it a couple of times now. I've been caught off guard and had to nimble and hammer with my Rog because they got the better of me. Granted I was half health and took an HT but they still got me pretty close to dead.

or you could pull it out of the water so it can't push you so much

I'll have to test this again at some point tonight. I could have sworn they were kicking and bashing from bow distance. For sure they were double-attacking. Historic posts suggest that they actually shot projectiles at you which they don't in P99:
"It is easiest to snare the mob and run back up to the island (above water) to fight. You can hide behind trees to keep his arrows from interrupting your casts."

That same post also suggests using Harmony to single pull them, which currently on P99 is impossible. Depending on which one you hit you will either pull 2 or all 3. It also has been noted more than once that using Wolf Form will make you non-aggro to the goblins allowing easy solo pulls and this also doesn't seem to be the case. That however may be a faction issue? Or is Wolf Form supposed to remove those faction issues?

Alright, so update on this--I was definitely wrong, they don't double attack or bash/kick at range. However, they also aren't impeded by things that would normally stop arrows as there is no projectile.

Thats infact true, never saw projectiles, one of the things that made me wonder what was going on?

Just spent 16 hours there camping tainted/corrupted.. not fun. Long story short, they are definitely kicking/hitting me from great distances while rooted. Made for a very long unpleasant experience.

Just tested, they are not kicking/bashing from a distance, or outside of melee range. They shoot arrows, which is why they are hitting you from a distance. The issue im seeing is there are no projectiles (arrows) seen.
