Today, Ragnarok is killing Trakanon and Apex logs in a couple of toons and trains us. Ragnarok wipes, and Drybone tries to talk shit in /ooc. He links a picture of our corpses, but he does not realize he has his freeport vision turned on. APEX GUILD LEADER USING MODIFIED GAME FILES TO GAIN AN ADVANTAGE..

i seriously hope Rogean, or some of the GM's step in and do something about this. I guess Drybone, and other members of Apex have some file they share with their guild only. It allows for the skeleton graphics to be replaced a human graphic. Im sure that gives a tremendous advantage in PvP. To me, i think this is ban worthy. Probably should be banned on more than one account for this kind of bullshit, especially if everyone in Apex uses it.

why can't people enjoy the game how it's intended? So what there are skeletons with no nameplates, the GM's might change that soon. Do you really have to create your own files to cheat and manipulate the game? This is honestly disgusting and such an unfair tactic.

No way Rogean should tolerate this in my opinion, hope Drybone, and anyone else in <APEX> faces harsh repercussions for using this cheat.

Are you Girls? Because Girls is your character, and or you play it all the time. And whoever was on Girls tonight posted this image. So someone in your guild is cheating and using freeport vision. Can you tell us who it was? It should be no issue explaining to the GM's who it was, so that player can face the repercussions himself, and alone.

The thing is, Girls was online and speaking just like you in OOC, same mannerisms and phraseology. When Girls logged off, Drybone came online. That is also a coiindience. Perhaps you can show us some of your recent screenshots with the UI shown? So we can see that your UI setup is nothing like the one used by Girls in that screenshot?

Or are you willing to have the GM's IP check your account and information? To see it was in fact not you on Girls tonight? Or will you save everyone the trouble and have your guild mate come clean and turn himself in to the GM's?

All signs are pointing to this being you on Girls. Either prove it was not, or wait until the GM's investigate the matter and enjoy your extended suspension and or ban.

This has been around for years now. Everyone that says they don't use it is a liar. If you actually don't use it then you are a loser.

If you think not using it makes you a moral decent human being then you need to stop logging in until you find something else to live for. It is simply an addon to fix a problem this game had for a couple months 18 years ago. No one cares if a couple nerds say it isn't right to do on these forums.

We all frequent this board because of the community and a certain amount of shared interest in EverQuest. It's a great game. I've had a lot of fun and continue to play here for several hours a week. However, it's also a game that is very easy to get overly involved in emotionally both with your time and your thoughts. When I first came to this server I was in a lull in school where I had a lot of free time and I burnt it on this project and became overly immersed. My life took a huge turn for the better when I focused on work and family and enjoyed EQ more casually. I don't begrudge anyone who likes to get down and do some Questin', but when you're ready to start reporting fellow elf sim players to the FBI over perceived grievances then it's probably time to take a couple of deep breaths and take a step back and decide if your life is where you want it to be right now. There's a way to balance video games and your life, it's possible.

Well said. I have known 3 to 4 people who have tried to drop a dime on identity fraud, wire fraud, drug trafficking, and firearms respectively over the years.

The only agency out of 3 agencies that followed up was the ATF and I'd guess because they aren't busy and don't do much besides sit there and process mundane paperwork.

re: identity fraud the FBI literally slammed the phone down on him, when he called back the agent said "no offense buddy but, FUCK OFF were busy" traumatizing the guy forever. someone had put a house under his name in some fraud scheme. he was like sir can't you trace an IP address? No we can't.

re: the drugs the ATF eventually took that over too

tldr; his advice was if you have to report anyone, hope firearms are involved somehow in the perpetrators life even if completely unrelated to the shit you are reporting. they are thirsty for any kind of action and will investigate anything as long as it appears some kind of gun law is being broken or the possibility of illegal possession, i wouldnt put it past elfsim being a priority for them.

We all frequent this board because of the community and a certain amount of shared interest in EverQuest. It's a great game. I've had a lot of fun and continue to play here for several hours a week. However, it's also a game that is very easy to get overly involved in emotionally both with your time and your thoughts. When I first came to this server I was in a lull in school where I had a lot of free time and I burnt it on this project and became overly immersed. My life took a huge turn for the better when I focused on work and family and enjoyed EQ more casually. I don't begrudge anyone who likes to get down and do some Questin', but when you're ready to start reporting fellow elf sim players to the FBI over perceived grievances then it's probably time to take a couple of deep breaths and take a step back and decide if your life is where you want it to be right now. There's a way to balance video games and your life, it's possible.
