View Full Version : what is the difference between 1999 and eqemulator?

im new to this and i jsut installed and patched the game to run on eq emulator but havent run the game yet to see if it works. i have a question before i start
do i have to decide to run on eq emulator server or project 1999 server? what is the difference between the two? are they the same? i searched and couldent find a faq if someone could answer my questions soon that would be greatly appreciated

eqemu hosts, like you'll notice once you hit server select, a boatload of independent servers - i.e P99

EQ Emulator is a platform. on the platform there are a bunch of different servers Project1999 is just one of the many servers. so when you log in you'll see the server select screen, just click Project1999 and you'll be connected to our server automatically :D welcome!

I suppose the largest constraint with Project 1999 is its Everquest client support. Only the Titanium client is supported here, where other eqemulator servers support many different EQ client versions.
If you need to know how to set up your Everquest installation for Project 1999 specifically, click on "Home" up above, then on "Getting Started" in the left frame. Good luck!

i figured it out and got it working. my main is genron, its a darkelf magician. hope to see you guys on soon
