Necro as a starter

Hey guys !

First time playing on p1999 ! Years ago I stopped at PoP, and never tried pvp, so I gave that RED server a go this morning... That classic feel is soooo good. Lots of memories in kunark... anyway... So far I made it to lvl 5 with my iksar necro, but I wonder how good they are pvp wise ? Not that I only want to pvp... to be honest I choosed necro cause of FD and wife aggro. Anyhow, I'd like to have your opinions on that matter, strategies etc... I also can see server isnt very populated but Id like to group whenever I feel the pain of solo... if possible. Any low lvl groups going on? Field of bone was empty basically all day. Should I move else where ? If yes, what about faction as iksar ? Any tips ?

Don't listen to the kids that try to put you down. I play on both blue and red. Both are great EQ experiences. I was grouped in Oasis and we were wiped by a necro that was yellow to us. He levitated from the high dunes and set his pet on us. Cripes, it was like a skelly mob was on us and we didn't even see the guy floating above us. It was soo funny afterward. It didn't hurt anymore than PVE death.
I'm gona jump on my lvl 10 iki necro now after reading your post. Ya got me motivated, thanks.

The red server has VERY low population, so most zones will be empty, frankly if you want to play for nostalgia i'd play on the blue server because it has way more people, otherwise red can still be fun, especially once you start getting levels. It's important to try and make friends with people your level cause there wont be many.

Hey hey.
I re-rolled enchanter after reading stuff on fourms. I might be wrong, but this class got me interested more than nec actually. I hope I will be successful as well as I make friends which seems paramount in order to succeed in RED. I saw pop was extremly low, i had no idea how the zones w ould look like with about a 100 people, and now i see. Looking forward to some encounterd in the near future if possible ! comments welcome about enchanters, i want to know more. Yours.

72 playing eq? Man you're late to the party. If I were you turn around and get a more active hobby that will not be detrimental to your mental and physical help. Also, old people suck at games and you're about to deal with career eq gamers with no jobs or inspirations outside of norrath.

you will not group in red but you will have your solo spot stalked by a guy in lvl 60 gear who deleveled by dying a bunch killing you over and over

come have a sane experience on blue

I have some on Blue, but Red is a nice break from all the crowds.
