Anyone else enjoying Outlast 2 as much as I am? It seems like a very worthy sequel so far. Resident evil 7 kicked serious ass also. And Prey comes out on the 5th! Good times.

Any other newer games out there on people's radar?

I don't follow what you mean...
"newish"? like a year or two old?
"new" just released within months and full of bugs hah
"on the radar" not released yet ... does that count 3yr old early access games?

Well newish um the long dark (on sale at steam atm) american truck simulator (on sale too). Pinball FX2: Bethesda Pinball pack. About all I'm playing right now that's newish.

Older: Arma 2 & 3, endless space, minecraft, X3: terran conflict.

Nothing on the radar at all, at allll. Nothing new either, not released in months. I play games until they ROT :D

I guess the definition of newer is pretty broad in a community that plays a game from '99 :D

I have The Long Dark, its a great game. If you get into scifi strategy style games, have you tried the XCOM series?

The original xcom, I think the newer one is a little too much for my laptop. The Long Dark runs good on it though, smooth, at a bit of a cartoon setting, and still looks great. I have about 200 hrs on the game.

If you like sci-fi survival, I'd look at space engineers. Build and fight survival mode sandbox stuff. Building is pretty advanced in the game. Mobs slowly improving, but you can make your own! Always fun shooting my own mob spawns out of orbit with camera guided missiles... sort of like space invaders hah!

There's a Diablo style game coming out called Lost Arc that looks pretty good.

I plan on picking up the new Mario Kart at lunch for the Switch as well

Ever tried Grim Dawn or Divinity 1 or 2? Probably up your alley if you like Diablo type games.

Prey as you already stated.

PUBG (Player Unknown Battlegrounds) - Looks simple on the surface but so many different possibilities and play styles make this game fun. You can play for survival, you can play for kills, you can run people over, you can punch them in the face, you can play squad, solo, duo. It is still in Alpha and there are some minor bugs but overall it's pretty well done. They are opening TEST servers to allow players to edit the game files however and recreate different arena scenarios (think CS but better)

Squad looks pretty good, have yet to play it.

Wildlands is pretty cool, open world GTA style but hunting sicarios.

Warhammer looked good but got terrible reviews and was a little rough to play.

why is pubg any different from any of the other broken looking 3rd/1st person 100 man king of the hill shooters?

I'm not really sure since I haven't played Rust or H1Z1 but from what I understand H1Z1 only counts kills....Arma is too much of a pain in the ass from what I've gathered. People say PUBG is a perfect mix of the two. Like I said, gives you option to go for kills or survival or both.

Based on others feedback though:
Car play is different - Jumping out of a vehicle does damage
H1Z1 is solely based on rushing to a weapon and getting a car - PUBG is slower, more tactical thinking involved. Just because you don't get a gun right away, you can still survive.
PUBG will have mods.
Weapon attachments and item customization is far more broad in PUBG

Also 2 million in sales for an Alpha release can't be that wrong.

I've been playing Empyrion: Galactic Survival for the past year. Pretty sweet game. Similar to Space Engineers. It's basically like a mesh of Minecraft and No Mans Sky. It's in Alpha but it's developing pretty rapidly considering its a 5 man team.
