Hello all!

I'm new to the server and having lots of fun!

I'm also having a hard time leveling my first character (Hanners - Human Cleric) or finding groups :(

I'm wanting to main cleric again because that's what I did way back when. Are there any tips for finding groups or guilds? Right now, I'm hanging around Blackburrow and it's hard to compete with people twice my level who are also twinked out clearing the zone. I'm not mad or anything, just at a loss and wondering if I should even bother playing a cleric.

Any tips or advice would be appreciated! So far, I've just been collecting bone chips to eventually sell.

Stick with it! Although the Qeynos area has a lot of great quests, you'll generally find more groups near Freeport or Kelethin. Clerics are always in demand, and even more so the higher level you attain.

Good luck!

Edit: Ive been hanging w Auld Lang Syne. Its for folks looking for the classic experience, looting our own gear instead of using the overpowered items available in ef. Definitely the most fun I have had on p99

Look up the guild <Immortals>.. I joined on a whim, and it has been a fantastic guild with a lot of young leveled players. Most people are very nice, no guild drama thus far, and it's a casual environment. It's marketed as a leveling guild so there are no expected long term ties or any expectations other than being respectful.

Being a cleric is a hard start. If people are clearing BB ask to join them say I just want exp no teeth. Most are after teeth and won't have a problem sharing raw exp.

ALS
Kittens
The Second Sons

Are all good starter guilds.

Thank you for the replies!

I've been grinding pretty hard and I just hit 10. I think it's time to make the classic run from Qeynos to Freeport so I can try to sell bone chips so I can get my level 14 spells.

As far as guilds, do I just ask someone if I see they have the tag if I can join or is there a more "proper" way to do things?

Can't wait to get to healing groups!

The Second Sons would be happy to have you if you haven't found a home yet. Let me know if you have any questions.

Use /who all second and/or any other name of a guild and it should net the proper guild to get in touch.

I've found building a name early as a cleric to be a great way to get groups. Reach out ask if groups have room. If I get a group I like to chat and stay attentive to keeping group healed and buffed. Before long I have friends everywhere and usually get invited into groups shortly after /ooc lfg.
