Velium Swiftblade VS CSS + SCHW

Hello my fellow auto attackers!

I'm trying to determine which weapon/haste combo would be a better overall DPS setup for my twink Barbarian Rogue I plan on making soon.

Setup #1:

MH: Serpent's Tooth (https://wiki.project1999.com/Serpent%27s_Tooth) (13/27)
OH: Crystalline Short Sword (https://wiki.project1999.com/Crystalline_Short_Sword) (12/24)
HASTE: Silver Chitin Handwraps (https://wiki.project1999.com/Silver_Chitin_Hand_Wraps) (22% Haste)

Setup #2:

MH: Serpent's Tooth (https://wiki.project1999.com/Serpent%27s_Tooth) (13/27)
OH: Velium Swiftblade (5/24, Haste Item)
HASTE: Velium Swiftblade (https://wiki.project1999.com/Velium_Swiftblade) (36% Haste)


Would the additional haste and thus increased backstab refresh rate equate to a larger DPS gain than the better ratio of the CSS? Let me know what you think.

At low levels Velium swiftblade should win. As you get past those early low levels and your dual wield and double attack climb, the CSS should win by a large margin.

The idea for this configuration would be like 1-50

Usually your dual-wield and double attack pick up around level 30 when you reach 150 skill. I would guess around that level you would want a better offhand. I'm sure someone could do the math.... it won't be me though. :D

I asked this question a while back too, and many people replied that the velium swiftblade coupled with a good piercer was better, at least until you get your epic.

Essentially the second hand weapon is a stat stick, and you should benefit from the extra 14% haste if you use a velium swiftblade over any added stats a secondary weapon might give.

Tbh I don't think it makes a huge difference either way, rogue dps with either setup while leveling will outperform any other dps easily and you will always be sought after for your raw damage.
