Raising Cabilis Faction

So, there seemed to be a lot of back and forth about this, but if you read the following closely it appeared to be possible:

I just thought I'd throw it out there that this does indeed work. Faction continues to update after Legion maxes out. I started at Amiable to Legion, and 507 stacks of bone chips later; I'm able to vendor in Cabilis (was able to bank after about 375). I think I hit apprehensive to the SKs, Shaman, and Residents at the same time, at just after 2500 turn-ins (probably 2501, but I checked at 2537).

Now, to work on the Necro faction...

You can bank in Cabilis while kos, just inch forward towards the bankers and you'll be able to click them before you get close enough to aggro them.

I recently completed this as well. Currently apprehensive to all factions but necros, started ally to troopers. Just lotsa bone chips. Not as many as you though, I'm an agnostic Ogre. I think it was less than 200 stacks.

While getting revenge on those that slayed me before (and having Iksar Dakoit spawn in front of me), I heard your shout that you were able to interact with the merchants. I did not know you were one of those "soft skins" my masters told me about. ;)

It took be a lot of bone stacks to get dubious toward the SKs, Monks and Shamans.. I don't know of anyway to get faction with the SKs without doing the bone chip turn in at the FoB. And without the SK faction -- crusaders run after you and HT for 500.

Legion of Cabilis is obviously easy to get with Sebilis and all. Necro faction isn't too hard (just kill bandits in WW). But it doesn't really matter because the bottom line is you need that SK faction.

Now, if only this quest (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=12497)would get implemented to make such grinding worth it ;)

For the record - 3100 turn ins got me to amiable with SK's / merchants / etc.

500+ bandits down - still scowls to necros... Will update when I see change.

I think I killed somewhere between 3000-4000 Forsaken iksars to reach max ally with Brood of Kotiz.

Scaled Mystics capped out at Warmly -- with something like 16K bone chips turned in to reach max.

I actually got to make use of this last night! Random ENC asked for help vs his epic mob in the sewer. Much easier when I can just walk right up to the dude...

Been doing the same over 2 weeks. No intention of stopping till successful. Answers on what it takes here seem to vary widely and some are drastically higher than others.

I have my Troopers at max ally, had them there for a long time. Currently within 100 faction of threatening with sks/shamans/merchants. Haven't started on necros yet though.

I'm still scowls with troopers, I think. Hours and hours of killing goblins in my slow druid way...with clickies and melee because medding up just to kill 20-somethings is for int casters without pets AKA wizards.

Lol. One thing I learned - do bandits first. They give Trooper and Necro faction. Bit tired of seeing "Your faction standing with LegionofCabilis could not possibly get any better."

All those poor Sarnaks died for naught...

I leveled from 25-32 on the iksar exiles in swamp of no hope next to TT. That got me to ally with the legion.

2002 - hit glares. I'm thinking the modifier (for my combo) is about -1000. If that's right I should see glowers after ~300 more.

I hope you have logging enabled. Would be interesting to see what the penalty works out to. It looks like mine was -1k (or -950 maybe), so I had to kill ~2600 to get to -449 and hit apprehensive. (If the faction numbers on https://wiki.project1999.com/Faction are correct.)

3984 bandits and Brood of Kotiz maxed out. I expected to see 4k, but I didn't have logging enabled until lvl 40 so it's possible I killed a few as I was xping.

This might have been worth it pre velious pre dial a port. now its pointless. I don have a character I did it on, it was easier in the chardok ae era of the server.
