Hi All. I did a search on this topic and found mostly stuff 20-40 and then basically says KC 50+. We've been leveling in CoM but when its crowded we like to find somewhere new and also just nice for a change. We are pretty open to anything, like trying unique zones that arent in the normal rotation as long as the XP is decent. Velious Kunark Old world, whatever, indoor/outdoor, anything that could net good returns.

We're both 46 at the moment, going to try Dreadlands today near KC cuz it seems to have a ton of mobs, running out of mobs is the only problem we ever had at CoM.

Cheers and thanks for always being a helpful community, you always reply to my posts around here :D

Enc/cle can duo pretty much anywhere you can charm.

Best EXP is going to be either killing guards in a town, or in dungeon/raid zones like Solb/COM/kedge/Etc.

Edit : at 46 you could do solb LDCs or maybe even efreeti trash, mid50s you could easily duo efreeti himself.

The hole is actually a great idea, could land loam for the enc and withered for the cleric

Hole entrance hands down. There are like 12+ mobs on a fast respawn timer. Xp and loot are great. You can do this till 53.

Hole is good

lguk can be good for a few more levels if no ones there, just kill everything past safe hall on undead side

If you want good but boring exp, try the ghosts in TT in the caves next to Ganak's caves. My ex secret spot.

It is never camped and is trivial to crawl as enc/clr.

Leave after dinging 51 or 52 (pushing it).

Charm the highest level champion you encounter (42 or 43, can't remember).

Targets are wiz mobs, no HP but they like to dispell charm (interrupt them).

6 min repop (!)

The mere fact that it is never camped and you never run out of mobs makes it a very good spot. Also can tap mana on most mobs.

Spirocs in TD, especially good if the cleric is a dark elf who has a snare necklace.

1. Enchanter charms a rogue pet (and hastes it if he's confident/is runed).
2. Cleric pulls a mob with level 1 nuke, and snares it on the way in.
3. Enchanter fears and sends in pet.
4. Disco.

Cleric just reapplies snare probably once a fight (only lasts 6 ticks).

Me and a pal went through the 40s there before going to Chardok for some similar action (pre Chardok AOE)

Went to hole, seemed decent xp, but very lucrative as far as money/xp balance goes. Thanks for the advice. It was hard to get the beginning broken but once we got going the xp seemed ok, couldn't really venture past the first 8 mobs though. Those crusaders dispel charm alot.

You both have stuns, if you see the cancel magic glow....dispense a stun immediately :p

try Droga. lots of casters, keep those stuns loaded. dont be cheap, fake up and keep those symbols/runes up. you will get lots of cash in droga to replace the costs. sell the armor for like 30pp each.

Frog king (live) in lguk. Crowns and tiaras go for about 2k a pop and great xp even up to 53/54 also rarely camped. Helps to know the trick to get behind the zone out there (safe spot) to bind if things go wrong. At 54-60 efreeti prob best but you could mix in some seb.

44+? Lguk all the way holy crap youll be done with that zone in about 4 hours and off to posting about 52+ spots (the answer is HS)

The hole is actually a great idea, could land loam for the enc and withered for the cleric

saw this, everytime I go to the hole around lvl 44 I regret it cus it took so long to get tehre and then i realizez 40 would have been WAY more proffitable of a time to arrive, and I just move back other zones.

Its just the closer you get to 50 the more risk than its worth in the hole IMO but if youre 40 its just free exp and loam drops.

But I cant reccomend lguk enough, the hp pools are fantastic for that zone, zem and the cleric can do mad dps while you just CC and you guys can be fine.

Once I pulled a train on accident and just PBAOE'd it and let the cleric just dps them 1 by 1 and we actually survived, it was amazing.

GL landing stuns on a 50 at 46!

I second dungeons. Hole, lguk, howling stones ent/basent/north, solb, perma pits... that'd be my order of preference I think. I'd guess hs north done well and lguk to be the best xp, and hole and lguk to be the best loot.

At level 40 you don't even have your upgrade to Tash yet. Your best possible scenario for a reliable pet is going to be the only blue con mob in the zone to you, an elemental warrior that can spawn as level 39, and there is no guarantee that he will even spawn since his level range is 39-44. Anything else will be even or several levels above you. You won't be able to sustain a reasonable duration charm.

When I began duo clearing the zone-in with a cleric we were level 44. My duo partner at the time was twinked severely with Epic and everything droppable you can imagine a strong twink would have. On a "good" round without too many issues on calm resists or charm breaks, we could clear the front mobs, the roamer and 2 static spawns past the first hallway and have a few minutes to med and recover before repops.

And I'm not saying it isn't possible or that you can't do it, it's just that at level 40 you are wasting your time trying to charm kill yellow/red cons.

When you get to 51+ kedge mermaids are awesome xp. Great cash too. Charm Shellara Ebbhunter and use as a monster pet. I'd recommend you both have EB earrings but enc can also use water illusion on self.

I'm talking about The Hole at level 40. I never mentioned Guk or Exe/Sage which is way off the rails in comparison. I don't care if you're just trolling but posting blatantly misleading shit to newer players outside of RNF isn't trolling, it's just dumb.

Thanks all for the advice!!!! The Trak Teeth spot and Lower Guk have been incredible XP for the 2 of us. I am 49 (cleric) and he is now 51.

I hate to be a jerk and ask for more advice but if you guys know any 49+ spots that would be amazing. He is higher than me which is more important, I am just a CH robot .... Are we too low for Howling Stone?

Thanks again for all the advice, I love this community :D

Cle/Enc can do great in HS, just make sure you're letting the pet eat those HT's. One slipup and your enc will be taking 3+ 400+ HTs. If your enc is skilled, HS is amazing EXP and decent to good loot too. At low 50s you could do the entrance easily enough to get a feel for it.

In your 50s you could try efreeti area in SolB, either charm an elemental that DSs itself, or charm an imp and help it get backstabs in by turning the mob with your body between the mobs slowed swings.

Thank you for the reply --- is there a specific type of mob that we should be charming?

In HS, you'll probably wind up charming whatever is handy, ideally a caster for theft of thought for the enchanter.

In solb, You'll either charm what looks like a mage fire pet (Lava Guardian, warrior with self DS), or a backstabbing imp (Imp Protector, rogue that looks like a red flavored gargoyle).

The imp is highly superior in DPS (Backstabs for 300s, can quad with weapons)

The guardians are slightly lower level and behave nicely, and also DS themselves. The DS is nice but I would definitely recommend the imp once they're reasonable/reliable enough to charm.

Edit : Kedge is great EXP in a wide range of levels, but you have to be willing to deal with always being in the water and you'll need some constant EB. Worn eb is best, there are dispellers in KK.

If you just want to level up ASAP, do CoM 2nd floor from 49 to 54, (only charm highest lvl non-ghost stuff, ideally max hit 132).

At 54 move to HS north and start charming the named as soon as you learn the wing. (couple sessions?) Corpse peridots in OT for CRs.

At 58 move to HS west and do the same thing. Don't go past the pit area until you are comfortable with the wing as you may end up having to CC 8+ mobs every now and then (if you go for max exp. You can always calm stuff and pull singles but that takes forever and is for little girls)

To get to CoM 2nd floor.

From the zone in: turn right at the gate house to enter the 'temple' area. Take the first door on the left and again through the door immediately in front of you. Go up the ramp into the top level of the building.

Here you should see a banner on a pole. Lev onto the pole. Click off lev. Jump from the pole up onto the wall in front of you. If you aren't an erudite you may need to jump a couple of times!

Congrats, you made it to 2nd floor. Many people will lev over onto the arena roof to bind / afk there.

Quick bump from another 44 enc/clr duo.

Tried out Hole entrance last night. Way too few mobs, way too much downtime. We just came from Sol B Window camp where we were killing about 20 mobs and still had a little too much downtime for our taste and 100% mana most of the time. Was great xp 40-44 though.

Was there ever a consensus on solid spots for this level? Which camps in LGuk and do they have plenty of mobs to get rid of downtime? The TT spot sounds good, but no ZEM seems like it may not compare to other spots.

maybe you guys could fight up tower of frozen shadows and do 5th + 6th floors for exp ...dangerous, fun and might actually turn out to be good exp !

watch out for fire traps on 6th floor, they can be avoided but are very deadly to casters in their 40s

The TT Spot will surprise you, there is 8 mobs , 6 min spawn, we could just barely keep up , when we got charm breaks the spawns would actually be ahead.

LGUk we got amazing XP just doing a route where we started at Cav, went to Sage, went to Exe, up to Savant room and room next to it then all the rooms between there and Safe hall , did that circuit -- with about 2-3 mins downtime between spawns.
