50% (or 25%) Thunder Volume?

Is there any way to make storms quieter without making everything else mute?

Given that thunderstorms seem ridiculously common in some areas. It would be preferable rather than having to mute EQ.

The first link I posted here includes that thread's original changes, which makes thunder much more subtle and pleasant. Don't use that thread's original package though cause you'll lose a bunch of other sounds:
