Have a few friends starting with me and trying to find a great newbie area. I know polar bear skins are nice to sell in Everfrost.

How's the erudite starting ?

gfay is great.

crushbone belts, lightstones, and then nybrights at 12.

you can have 1k+ saved by the time you are level 19 easily.

decent gold from wasp venom sacks in gfay to get started / spell money. Freeport has a lot of skeletons, easier to farm cracked staves

EFP / Nektulos for cracked staves ~1p ea merchant
Spiderling silks sell. Dunno how much for, but something.
Bone chips ~10p/stack in EC
HQ Bear Pelts ~30p ea in EC

Plus you're already basically in EC already. Then you can continue leveling in relative proximity.

How many of ya are playing? Class ideas?

There's 3 of us. Debating on having an evil crew or not . I've heard it's easier to make money being evil (killing stuff like treants ). I know I'm gonna go enchanter.

Qeynos Report
• (Goodies only) Qeynos Hills, rabid wolves and later the rabid grizzly too. Turn in pelts in Rodcet Nife's UFO guild hall for 2pp per wolfie turn-in and 4pp per griz. Also very good exp per turn-in.
• Gnolls > fangs > levels > ???? > Profit!
• (Goodies only) West Karana bandit sashes. The Half Elf druid bandits are tougher - maybe wait on those. Sashes can be turned in for bronze somethings which sell for some plat.

I did this on some character or other and had over 500pp by around level 15.

For pure profit, Qeynos is the best. It's also the best for exp and low level loot.

Amazing exp and 2 plat per turn in:

Decent Exp, but the reward can be vendored for around 10 plat:

These things all drop near Qeynos that can be gotten at lower levels:

The Lightstones should be saved for this quest as it's good exp, only 2 zones away and the reward vendors for 9.5pp:

It's quite unlikely but possible to get:

For practical drops, Catacombs has:

As to the Erudite starting area, it's sub-par. You could go to the Paineel newbie area, which has tons of mobs in a small area. The guards should not attack you. Somewhere between level 4 and 12, you may want to relocate to Qeynos.

How's the erudite starting ?

One of the worst in the entire game, if not the worst. Do like all Erudites do and hop on a boat to Qeynos (or elsewhere).

Dark Elf Enchanter
Dark Elf Cleric
You could also throw in a Dark Elf Shadow Knight for a solid core of a group amongst yourselves. Troll's got better starting stats and still relatively close if you wanted to run him over.

^This would be my recommendation if none of you are partial to any particular class.

If your two buddies have something they want to or prefer to play, I strongly encourage they go with that route.

A Wizard or Druid could ultimately join Dial A Port to make some decent cash (it's like p99's Uber service), but if you're going for viable self-contained group, this above combo would work pretty well.
