On live when things leashed, if you got close again, they would remember you and come after you. There was something in the patch notes about a 30 second agro wipe if mob was out of range. That was never a thing.

This is true they would never forget you. Pretty sure Haynar realises this so perhaps reason for it which prevents it.

I agree that permanant memwipe is wrong. My recollection (FWIW) is that mobs could leash but would remember you if you either got a) close enough again, or b) sat down.

I know we need evidence, and I've been wrong before, but maybe this jogs someone else's memory.

If you do not add any hate to a mob for 5 mins in classic then you are removed from the hate list. On p99 it is actually 10 mins i hear. This was in velious logs from engage messages.

I cannot comment about when that was implemented, maybe was during velious.

Also according to dev comments they had worked to fix the aggro issues in DL and other zones you mentioned, although not sure if that was lip service and was still going on
